It's true. Most of his favorite bands do indeed blow goats, which is really unfortunate since they're most of them are my favorite bands as well.

Yeah, Proud, we're not personally attacking you. Remember, on a music message board with people from around the world, people are going to feel differently about different bands. For instance, I really can't stand Korn, but I don't think that bothers thorny in the least. And there is some crap music I like too. As long as you generally know the difference between what's good and what's bad (e.g. you don't sit around listening to Nickelback, Jet, Yellowcard etc.), you'll be fine on these boards.

In the mean time, if you're not sure whether a band sucks or not, just ask myself or Jesus and we'll let you know.
Can we stop talking about Green Day soon please? There really are far better and worse bands I'd rather carve up if we have time.
I didn't have any discs in the car recently and was forced to listen to the radio. Of course, like fucking clockwork, "Living On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi pops up as if to test the effect of heart palpatations during driving. So I embrace this moment, more as personal development, to see if I can actually make it through the whole song.
The good news is I didn't switch the radio off. The better news is I'm now more convinced than ever that song is one of the most embarassing pieces of musical pap I've ever heard, by quite possibly the worst band in the history of being shitty.
So I take it a step further and try to find something redeeming. What I came up with was how absolutely polished and perfect everything is put together from a product construction standpoint (if that's your thing). So there you go. Still though, a turd wrapped in the nicest possible box is still a turd.

I'm only truly "passionate" about artichoke terine, but I still love most other things. Well except Bon Jovi.

Don't take it personally. People always say my favourite bands, erm, blow goats. I don't mind.Ha. If you think his music taste is bad (New Model Army, but other than that it aint too tragic) then you should see his dancing As for me - it's quite well known that I own several Shakira albums - and I will defend that to the death. The rest of Rolling Stone just hasn't caught on to the fact that she's the next PJ Harvey yet. It's true.... Jet! Jet! Hallelujah Punk Chick. They have got to be the worst band in the history of Australia (?). Just AC/DC with 10 parts water. Even The Darkness are a more credible prospect.

The Darkness are the best band on the planet.

Nah. I reckon Justin Hawkins hair will last longer than The Darkness' career.

I'm not a fan of the Darkness (though I find them amusing in a weird, Spinal Tap sort of way), but Jet make them look almost decent by comparison.

More to the point, and I don't wanna sound gay, but I'm chuffed that luke and CWA are back.
And my dancing is the fucking bees knees.

1. Justin Darkness is God.
2. Did I mention that Smash trumps Dookie on an even greater scale than Dude Ranch?
3. Jet is awful.
4. Bon Jovi really is that embarrassing.
5. Love on the rocks...with nooooooooooooo IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jesus, I'm glad your chuffed, but if this fucking thing tells me that there are too many connections one more time, it's back to Tetris with me.

That connection message only gets me during a five minute spell every couple of days. Most times the boards seem okay.
I finally got hold of Interpol song "The Specialist" today, and damn fine it is too. Dunno why they left it off most regional copies of TOTBL. Antics is just as good btw.

Hey, and thanks for the Killers tip mate. Top, top album. I'm more certain than ever that you're going to adore that Muse mix.

Saw the Killers live in Houston (why, that's a pic of me in the corner getting in a last minute game of Tetris before I went.) Decent show that was no doubt hurt by the crappy opening bands, but a pretty decent set. They sound stronger on the album, though, very much. Jesus, you once had a comment on how you were skeptical of seeing bands like the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, that rely so much on "other" noises for their sound, would hold up in concert. Well, your criticisms definitely held up with these guys. Still a good show, and I'll see them again at VooDoo.
