Shane, why is this not working for me? I click the "paste a picture" or whatever, and it comes up with those "img" tags. Then I paste the properties link to the picture in between the tags and post, but it doesn't come out.

That's all I can think of, yeah. It's just the Yahoo photo albums, and I made it public. Hmph. It won't accept a picture off your hard drive will it? I don't know where else to put it besides Yahoo. Anyway. Whatever. If you wanna see these pics I guess you can go to f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/bc/hailtothethievingd to the "new life" album. I thought it'd be cool to show them here, as they're so relevant. Bah.

Cool! Thanks, Sweet Bum. That would be me before I went out, minus lipstick. And here is one of my roommate. You really can't see either of us; I guess black doesn't come out very well in that light. Thanks Shaner!

Awww samps!! You're such a cutie!! And as expected, your fashion sensibility is clearly impeccable. And wow, your roomie is quite the goth, huh? He's working a mopey eyeliner look I've not seen since the 80s! I bet his CD collection is fun to raid. I don't have any pics of the new 'do myself... I don't even own a bloody camera! My roomie does have a digital camera but I feel weird asking her to take a picture of my hair. That seems vain even for me... Well this board seems like the perfect place to revive the old NW, sooo.... NW: pale blue cotton t-shirt, jagged black skirt just above the knees, a thick bracelet with thin alternating horizontal white and black stripes, black dansko closed-toe sandals, pale blue nail polish NP: The Adverts - Crossing the Red Sea with the Adverts (song: Bombsite Boy) Cheers, M

Your welcome samps.
Now wearing: Grey boxer shorts and some long sleeve shirt with a deep thin v cut in the front. I need new fashion, going to start doin an unfuneral like - pants shirt blazer - type deal in the city when i'm playin music, don't really know how my fashion will change out there.

I did his eye make-up actually... Thanks. ;D But he does tend to dress goth, yeah. One thing I really admire about him is that he doesn't label himself "goth" even though he listens to the music and dresses in black.
I'm having the time of my life delving into his music collection and having all these new places to go out to... Just giddy as a schoolgirl. It's been a long time since I smiled for real.
Do you have your own computer? You could just ask to borrow your roommate's cam for a few pics and she'd never have to know how vain you were, taking pictures of your own hair. We wanna see!

Have you got any recent pictures Shane?
I just remembered Roommate said he'd gladly switch sexuality if he could have David Bowie. He's all about Bowie, the Pink Dots, Blondie... another child of the 80s. I am introducing him to VU and the Pixies. He thinks I'm smart, but he doesn't know I learned everything I know about music from a few *truly* smart people on the internet. ;D

Yeah I definitely have my own computer...shit I wouldn't be able to function without my own computer!! But I dunno, I'll try to figure out a way to get a pic....... problem is once I take a shower without a shower cap (yes, I'm officially an old lady, as I own, and regularly use, a shower cap now!) it will ruin the beautiful style that only my hairdresser seems capable of creating. but at least you'll still be able to see the lovely new blood-red streaks. man my poor mom is going to shit herself. holy shit samps you just became a full member!!! man I've gotta catch up NP: Lou Reed - Transformer (song: Andy's Chest) Cheers, M

wow samps it's kinda weird that your roomie is all into bowie but doesn't know the vu!! poser!! (just kidding!)
btw what do the legendary pink dots actually sound like? now there's a band i've seen cited a million times but never heard a note by, and never ever seem to think of them when i'm just idly browsing a record store.
do you know if your roomie listens to my dying bride? now that is fuckin goth!!!
NP: Lou Reed - Transformer (song: Perfect Day)

So you gave in to the haircut demons eh Shane? Too bad, but I guess it will be nice during the long, hot summer. Mary, regarding My Dying Bride - I looked and he has Turn Loose the Swans and The Dreadful Hours. Could be more on his computer but this place is a pig-sty and it's impossible to find anything on here... "Perfect Day" is one of my very favourite songs... The Legendary Pink Dots sound really different on every album, and they've been around since the 80's I guess and between the regular band and Edward Kisspell's (sp?) side project Tear Garden (which is mostly members of Skinny Puppy) they come out with a couple albums a year. Very prolific. On many albums they sound very much like Pink Floyd, esp The Wall, but... gah. So hard to describe. It's psychedelic, industrial, gloomy, even sick at points. Reminds me of Alice in Wonderland a lot. Just how trippy and experimental and fucked up it all sounds. Sorry I can't do any better than that. I'd recommend something from both their early stuff and later work. Maybe the self-titled. Just give them a listen in a record store if you remember. Totally know what you mean about the hairstyle never being the same after a shower and once you're away from the uncannily-clever hairstylist. I don't understand it. Although it's true I don't own a curling iron and couldn't be bothered to use it if I did. I am the queen of bedhead. Somehow becoming a full member before Mary makes me feel like a bit of a loser. Ahem.
