samps that festival sounds like a blast. ryo you're so lucky to get to see natsumen. How many times does that bring it to... ? This is my first time! I was supposed to see them two years ago, but those bastards cancelled and went on hiatus at the last minute. I honestly thought I'd never be able to see them again. As things would have it, last night's show was held exactly on the same date (October 21) as that fateful day two years ago. I'm just glad that I finally got the chance, and hopefully it won't be the last.

Also, those pics you posted are ridiculous (and I mean that as a compliment)!

Well I came back from Houston yesterday and have thought about my one and only Janet Jackson concert. I don't think I'll spend the $ to see her again. Janet looked great. The prerecorded music was great and the pyrotechnics were fabulous. I will say, and this is the only negative thing I will say about the show is on some of the Janet-sings-along-with-the- prerecordings is that I've seen better lip synching from drag queens performing at their best. I had a great seat. There was a catwalk and when Janet would transverse the stage and walk, she passed by me several times. There were I noticed many empty seats in at the forum. I wish I had brought a camera but decided not to do so. I will for Tina';s concert and Madonna's concert in November I think. Will use an Iphone camera. Now that I've seen the Toyota Center I KNOW I will have great seats for Tina Turner's concert. Row C is right on the stage. Will be seeing Tina Monday night.

the natsumen guy sounds nuts. i don't think i'd mind listening pre-show to the band's recorded karaoke though. i think it's ingenious in fact. and the worse the karaoke was, the better!

I have to admit, I was bobbing my head a bit when they started singing Tatsuro Yamashita. And the crowd was kind of singing along too! But "Thriller" was just terrible. Oh man, that was one of the most excruciating things I've ever heard. Though obviously, their awesome, awesome show more than made up for it.

Just got back to my hotel from seeing Tina Turner LIVE. Man was it amazing. Nothing like a real band, real vocals and just an amazing performance. Tina was in magnificent form tonight and I had a really GREAT time. Seeing one of the legends of rock and roll is a memory that will last a lifetime. I will post some pic's when I get home tomorrow. Don't think the Iphone camera I used will produce high quality pic's but I'll know more when I can download them tomorrow. Or is that upload them? Hmm..more will be revealed!
Any-hoo...my momento from the show is a really cute teddy bear that wears a shirt that reads Tina Live In Concert. It will go good with my Neil Diamond teddy that wears a shirt saying Neil Diamond Forever. I'll post a pic' of the teddy tomorrow as well.
Goodnight.

I saw Ego Wrappin' on Saturday. I was planning to see a different show that night, but then got an email from a friend the day before asking if I wanted to see them. I gave a "well I don't know..." kind of reply, but then he offered to sell me the ticket at 50% off (he apparently had an extra ticket he wanted to get rid of), so I said yes.
I'm glad I did. They were absolutely stellar, far exceeding my expectations. I like Ego Wrappin' somewhat and wouldn't have minded seeing them as long as they were playing with other bands I like. But they were the only band on the bill that night, and I never would've committed myself to it if not for the friend and his half-off deal. Past shows I've seen of theirs have ranged from "oh wow, they're pretty damn good" to "bleh, mediocre show" but they were totally in rhythm on Saturday.
I might be able to leave work without any overtime today. If that's the case, I'll head to the Shinjuku Loft to see Misako Odani. If not, then I guess I'll just go home, watch TV, jerk off, and go to sleep.

Janet has slimmed down considerably for her tour. Shame I didn't have a camera for Janet's show. I was much closer to Janet than Tina.

Please tell me that image of Madonna is photoshopped. Maybe Madonna's head on Iggy Pop's body with boobs? Sometimes a little fat on a woman is a good thing.
I'll bet Tina was great. I expect she can still rock the house (at what - 68?) And I have no doubt she knows how to put together a great band and front it.

Well folks, I'm off to see this lil' rock show goin' on here in Salt Lake: These bands called "The Sword" and "DOWN" are playing, and then there's a band from California goin' by the name "Metallica" that headlines. Should be fun . . . . *
