Great Dredg-review Thornmeister! One of the bands you introduced me to and I must say I liked what I heard! Just read this on another messageboard: Led Zeppelin top a poll as ‘The Greatest Live Act Ever’ on www.thisdayinmusic.comDuring the past four weeks This Day in Music.com ran a poll asking “Who has been the greatest live act ever” collecting thousands of votes from all over the world. Results: 1, Led Zeppelin 2, Queen 3, Pink Floyd 4, Bruce Springsteen 5, The Who 6, The Rolling Stones 7, U2 8, Radiohead 9, AC/DC 10, Guns N’ Roses 11, Nirvana 12, Rush 13, David Bowie 14, Grateful Dead 15, Dave Matthews Band 16, Prince 17, The Beatles 18, Oasis 19, Pearl Jam 20, Metallica Just outside the Top 20 were: Aerosmith, Status Quo, Jane’s Addiction, Coldplay, Muse, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix and The Clash. Madonna was the highest placed female being voted in at No. 30. The only other female acts to receive large numbers of votes were Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Beyonce. Other acts who received a high number of votes included: Rick Astley, Michael Jackson, Spinal Tap and The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band. Bit of a shitlist if you ask me. many 'safe' rock bands tend to dominate these lists but I've seen better world music, fuink (where's Sly?) and local acts. Whadda you reckon?

Britney Spears has announced her tour. The password for presale tickets is IHEARTBRIT: www.britneyspears.com/tour/I got tic's for the Houston show at the Toyota Center Section 102 row 4. No floor seats are available at the Texas venues. Since I've been to the Toyota Center I know my seat will have a great view. The opening act are "The Pussycat Dolls."

Well, I actually paid for tickets in section 436 but a friend of mine gave me his so I gladly took the upgrade. He decided to stay home and watch an Andy Griffith Show marathon instead. Funny, he was given those tickets by a friend of his who had just installed StumbleUpon and decided he would rather stay up all night stumbling. And wouldn't you know it...he got the tickets from a guy who claimed he was a close friend of K-Fed and stated, with some degree of emotion, that there was no way in hell he was going to go see "that traitorous bitch". Which was not much of a sacrifice because he got the from K-Fed himself. Who got them from the promoter. Who got them from Britney's mom who was under the impression that it was a Kenny Rogers show and who was quoted as saying, "why should I fight traffic and all the hassle just to see my own daughter parading herself around a stage acting like a slut when she could see that anytime she wanted and for free to boot."

BTW, I will never attend the circus. Let's stick animals in boxes so we can make them do stupid tricks one could teach their dog to do. "It amazes the crowd." Well, gee, I'm going to whip them on the ass (or taser them) so I can watch them jump through hoops of fire. Now that would be a good show! Kudos to Amp. Come on, dude. A tiger's gotta eat. I would be interested to know where you come by the information that the animals are so mistreated in their training. Don't get me wrong. I don't like circuses either. But that's because I don't want to be there when the tight rope walker slips and falls. The animals seem happy enough. Better than a cage in a zoo, I heard one elephant say.

Sorry the point passed you by, but a tiger should not be beat to teach them "to heel and not bite a guy's head off". Hopefully your toddler gets it. Missed this one...but you're right. They should just let the tiger eat. It's nature's way. Why don't you aim some vitriol at the American cowboy who domesticates the wild horse? It's a fuckin' circus. If those beasts could talk they'd beg the trainers to keep them on and never return them to the wild. The chow is much better and you don't have to stalk and kill prey to get it. Just act fierce, jump through a ring of fire, then go home, kick back, enjoy a nice big slab of venison. Are your PETA fees all paid up? tee hee

What a coinky dink JAC, cuz I received free tix in section 438 (across Bell street) from a myspace friend I thought was one of my local metalhead chicks promising killer seats at the Mayhem reunion. Turns out it was some Britney spambot having randomly selected me as a "Winner"; needless to say I gave the tickets away immediately to my younger brother who is at this time auctioning them on eBay.

The post was about the circus, sorry I didn't go into every injustice being brought upon animals at the moment. Otherwise I would definitely have touched upon the way your family is forced to share a cage with you. tee hee

Tigers love being in the ring. They crave the attention of happy children fawning over them. I mean, just look at Tony. He was once a circus tiger and look at him now. He's sitting pretty on the front of a cereal box. But seriously, as far as I know circus animals are well treated, well fed and well maintained. What's wrong with being in the ring for 5 lor 10 minutes a night? As for the "cage factor", can I presume you have a problem with zoos as well? Some beasts are luckier than others, and circus animals have hit the jackpot. Probably more so than those in zoos. It's the equivalent of being a rock star. That roaring beast in the third ring of Ringling's show is the feline equivalent to our Madonna, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears. The fuckin' animal has got STAR POWER. If you really think she'd rather be slinking around in the jungle than rocking some kid's world, well, hell. Here I was, thinking you were a champion of animal rights.
