She's a fine looking example! You don't see many vehicles of that age looking so fine Strat - O!
I don't think i could stomach being a Toyota owner, but I will confess the Prius has me fascinated. The only thing I hate about it is the small wheels and tall body combination it's styled with... it looks like my mother's dog... big body, small legs! Otherwise its probably the only toymotor I'd consider owning!
I took a look at the Altima online Rock... smart looking car! A worthy compliment to my Aussie Pulsar, which shall be nursed and cared ror by my father, and driven by me on trips back to Australia of course... I wish I had a photo of her to post up, actually... but alas, I'm struggling to find a digital photo of ol' Wuv.

Tinted windows look tacky. Unless it's on a limo. Isn't it illegal to show your license plate over the net, just like on TV? If you wanna make that pic look cool, you gotta blur it out so it looks like you were being chased by C.O.P.S or something. btw, aren't Americans obliged to have license plates on the front bumper as well?

The reason I'm asking is because StratO's mean-machine doesn't have front license plates. I've also picked up on it in American movies. I suppose it makes the car look better without it {especially if it's an Alfa Romeo where because of the "V" shaped grille the plate goes on the side of the bumper and looks terrible}.

Bull, you have to see the car in person. Here one plate only is required. Must be on the rear.

She just gets stronger every day. I broke her in pretty easy. The rings are well seated now.

It just cracks me up that Strat's driveway has got multiple sets of patches from him doing burnouts!! Cooler'n shit. Hey! It's my effing propitty! I'll take out snakes with my rifle AND I'll burn rubber if I want to mmm-K, mister fuzz? Is this America or isn't it?~ Re Strat's comment on the solidity and safety of Volvos...well, that ain't all. Because you can have some 'sleeper-style' unlikely performance with the Turbo-ized models, even the late 80's boxy body-styled models. My '89 was a friggin rocket, all classy silver with black leather, but damn we would fly. The only wish I'd had with it would be that it had been a 5 speed. But then I woulda got into more trouble than I already did....

There used to be a tuner who would take a Volvo 240 wagon and hype it up to just stupid levels of performance. At the time, Volvo was racing these cars in a Euro series, and the tuner basically took the suspensions pretty much whole from those cars. Don't remember what engine he used ... I'm thinking it might have been a blown six, or a Ford V8, but I remember it made something like 250 hp -- and this was in 1986, when a Vette only made about 225 hp! Good for a top end of something like 140+. Not bad for a Volvo wagon ... Mario Andretti bought one, as I recall. And if it's good enough for Mario Andretti ...
Volvos also have great interiors, with some of the most comfortable seats you'll ever sit in. They don't drive (anywhere near) as nice as a Bimmer, but few do. Generally reliable, safe as houses, and (if you buy the right one, or make the right mods) surprisingly quick. And the new ones even look nice. Who would have thought they'd ever be able to use the words "sexy" and "Volvo" in the same sentence, with a straight face!
