Your Nova has a carb, samps? Wow, that would be like pre-1985. I had an '85 Corolla with a carb until a few years ago.
Have you looked at some Porches yet, Ken? I hope you find one that's not red. There are so many red ones, and I just don't think they wear it that well.
I put new front rotors, wheel bearings, and premium brake pads on the Sleeper today. I was getting shaking during hard braking that was getting worse. Might have been able to have the warped rotors turned, but for the price, I just got new ones. We'll see if they warp. A lot of these cheap aftermarket "white box" (usually Chinese) rotors will warp with one good hard stop. I didn't get those, but it's getting hard to find good aftermarket rotors these days. I got "Duralast" or Autozone's better rotors. They are made in Mexico. If they warp, I'll either get some real ACDelco rotors or some drilled performance rotors (major dollars). I should have really just gotten ACDelco rotors (I know better than to buy lowball crap, and they are my company's biggest client), but they weren't open, and cost twice as much. We shall see.

This is a car my father built, it has bits of this and that. It's the Huff. A guy named Horace actually started it and he wanted to name it the Huff so if anyone asked were horace was you could say "he's off in a huff". My helped him in the begining eventually finishing it himself. They started it almost thirty years ago, just working on it as a hobby. Sometimes not touching it for years at a time.

Cool roadster, ded! Pardon my ignorance, but what the hell is it? Clearly no kit car! The grill reminds me of an REO.

That's an impressive car ded. I bet it turns a lot of heads...
I'm with strat on the red Porsche. In fact, there are very few cars that look good in red IMO. The Ferrari (obviously), Alfa Romeos, basically anything Italian, and the Mazda RX and MX series.
I'd never buy a new red car. I've had two red disasters over the years, but it wasn't really by choice because I bought them both used and dirt cheap. I was in minor accidents with both and when I got them back from the body shop, you could spot the freshly painted parts from a mile away. No panel beater can duplicate the red colour exactly the way it was before, especially if it's a non-metallic finish and has slightly faded, you're screwed.
I remember with the red Suzuki I had, every time I'd park it under a street light at night, my freshly painted door and hood almost looked orange. There's also no way you could lie to a future buyer about never being in an accident because if they looked closely, they'd spot the difference.

Hey, if you don't know, just say so! Nice Ford in the background -- looks like an A Model, but it might be a T. Nice Z, next to it also! Oh, and that blond's got it goin' on too. But if she's with the guy with the arms, then don't tell anyone I said that.

Strat -- you need one of these: blogs.edmunds.com/.ee96818(couldn't get the image link to work, so just go look at the new Dodge Charger Police Edition at the above URL) I've got a friend with the 300 SRT8, and that thing is an absolute beast! Of course he's averaging something like 14 mpg, but he loves the car anyway. Haven't looked at any Porsches yet ... I'm getting credit cards paid off, etc. right now. I want to really free up a bunch of cash. If I don't go with the old Porsche option, I think that one of the new Mazda MX5s (the car formerly known as the Miata) with the retractable hard top. We'll see ... right now, the first step is to get rid of as much debt as possible.

That Charger cop car looks so small!
I mean whaddaya gonna do, arrest nothing but wiry little rodent methheads?
I mean you could only fit one Biggie Smalls in that back seat of that car. May he rest in peace.
Tho with that sorta speed, Highway Patrol/State Police is where they'd likely go.
Here around Chicago they are using EVERY sort of car as State cop vehicles so they get the jump on 'us' speeders.
I've seen Camaros, Mustangs, Pickup trucks even. Unmarked of course.
Fuckers. I mean WTF??! I gotta commute! I got distance to cover!
Stop fuckin' with me!

Ah, the Charger's a big-ass car -- there should be plenty of room in the back for whatever size miscreants get picked up.
I love the new Charger, BTW. If I were looking for something big and American, I'd look no further than one of these with a hemi. Too bad it doesn't come with a manual gearbox ... guess that'll have to wait for the revived Challenger coupe, set to come out in a couple of years.

Nice to see the Charger nameplate revived, but the profile looks a little like an old Datsun 210. The Challenger concept car looks much cooler.
Actually, I'd like to have one of the SVT Shelby Mustangs. 500 hp you could actually sort of afford. It's almost enough to make me wanna buy a Ford.

I don't mind the muscular looks of the new charger - although I'mmore of a small car person - big cars seem to lumber about too much, clumsy, ya know? I'd rather throw a hot little compact around and enjoy how tidy and cart like the handling is - but that's just me... I'm not as into the whole big car, big muscle thing that aslot of American car enthusiasts are into... but hey, those chargers have a real presence, as does the Chrysler 300C. Dodge / Chrysler seem to have tapped into some good ol' nostalgia in their design departments. Hope it does them well, they've had their troubles of late.

Yeah, nobody wants to buy 'em. Chrysler, that is.
But, GM made a profit for a change... Ford may come out of their nosedive yet.
