We don't know Cassie's exact birthday, but we are now officially calling her 20 years old! The vet just shrugs and says "good genes and good care," but I think it helps that she has exceptional smarts. She has fairly noticeable kitty scoliosis now, but it doesn't seem to bother her much and she does pretty good. I need to take some more pics of her - this one is about 5 years old.

Nice pics, Pat. Seems you can always tell the loathing the big cats have for being caged... They just don't like it at all. Zoos are a lot better these days, but the cats still don't like it; even in a large enclosure, they don't like being caged.

Yeah. Cats are independent creatures. I took all those pic's on an apple I phone that I had borrowed from a friend. They came out pretty good considering there are not any zoom lens options on the camera.

Pic' of me and my two ferrets Codo & Podo (from the Beastmaster.) Pic' of me out fishing in Caldwell. Caught some good fish. A friend cleaned then then we battered them and deep fried them. With coleslaw and hushpuppies. Man they were tasty! Me at home.

One is never quite sure what they're going to run into at the animal zoo.

Stupid question perhaps but why have you chosen ferrets as a pet, Pat?

Stupid question perhaps but why have you chosen ferrets as a pet, Pat? Because their quite playful and tame and sweet creatures. In the States they are quite popular as pets. Like guinea pigs and so forth. They come descented (although they still have a faint stench) and neutered/spayed. Breeding them is unlawful for some reason. They really are playful, sweet creatures when their tamed.
