This country was founded on humanist, Diest and Christian principles, spreading from the Pilgrims to the Revolution.

In modern terms, that would mean that secular atheists had just as large a hand in this country's birth as any witch-burning Puritans, if not more so.

And it also means someone should turn off the talk radio for once and read a book. Ben Franklin's autobiography would be a good first stop.
