Crack Whore Junkies...aka Current Events of Current Events.
Radical concept conjured in the deep recesses of my mind, which is at the moment enjoying a respite from the abyssmal depressive cycle that has had it in it's grip for some while and battening the hatches against the inevitable swing to mania...
Bound for deletion, but a good belly laugh for yours truly, and thus worth the effort.
Besides, there is definately a need to discuss a solution for all the crack whore junkies roaming the suburbs of America, with their "Kerry/Edwards" bumper stickers attached to the backs of their shirts and their Levis pockets stuffed with used hypodermic needles.
Something needs to be done about them.
Who will step to the plate?

RULES FOR POSTING ON THE CRACK WHORE JUNKIES THREAD:
(please read carefully and abide by all of the following)
1. No Hitler moustaches.
2. Avoid references to Harry Potter.
3. Encourage productivity from the board's creator and don't scorn him when he lets you down.
4. Take everything seriously.
5. Do not take Rule #4 seriously.
6. Rule #5 is the most important rule.
7. It's okay to point your finger and laugh at the silly man when this thread gets deleted but NEVER FORGET THAT IT WAS HERE, where it wasn't supposed to be.
8. Acknowledge that the Crack Whore Junkies thread is exactly where it needs to be.
9. Understand and appreciate that LEVITY is a saving grace.
10.Keep it like a secret.
Now enjoy, and with the kindness of our benevolent board administrators and moderators I would request that this dead weekend be allowed to pass before the delete button is clicked.
Additional Rule #11:
DO NOT RIDICULE CRACK WHORE JUNKIES (the real deal, NOT the thread, which is open to ridicule).
Those who transgress this 11th rule will be sentenced to three days in the belly of a giant whale with only an iPod loaded with Sigur Ros songs for entertainment.
NOTE OF EXPLANATION: the current easing of depression has been accompanied by a reading of Dave Eggers A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, which has spurred a burst of inspiration that is currently being wasted by posting it all on a thread that will definately be deleted, and furthermore the author recognizes and (almost) condones the necessity of it's "getting the axe", as it were, and if author is lucky enough to milk a few days out of it he'll probably throw it up on yet another blog, which will join the 24* other blogs that were spawned from similar bursts of inspiration and were left for dead when said inspiration got the hell out of Dodge.
*24 is an exaggeration. The number is more like 6 or 7, not counting the 10 that have been deleted for various reasons.
And now, back to CRACK WHORE JUNKIES!
