The picture I did try to fix this AM while I was still at home...painstakingly right-clicked a coupla AMG album covers and wrote out the URLs under 'Properties' and got ZIP, 'cept fer an X-in-a-box, yippee.
The mouse I've got here has it's right-click function cashed out and I've torn this place apart trying to find my spare....
Why wouldn't

upped the training up a little late this week...shoulder still bloody sore, but I'm going to try to race tomorrow....I'll see if the Handicapper will cut me some slack and let me start up the feild a little, instead of scratch...not sure I could handle full on racing, especially on the hills...still if Tyler Hamilton could race the tour with a broken collarbone, I just have to toughen up!!!
Oh and BTW roc doc...I really don't want any more children!!!!(so the seat/handlebar ratio is just right..get a nice straight back if need be) I'm just too old and cranky now for kids!!

Phil -- I did test ride a LeMond titanium bike ... and really didn't like it that much. It was about the same price as a Trek carbon fiber job, which I preferred. I like my Bianchi more than either, but it's one of those fancy Italian jobs.

everybody knows that italian bicycles are the best. just like sports cars. why would you want to buy a lemond bike, made by trek, possibly in taiwan or china even, when you can have a work of art, filled with the racing heritage and spirit of the old country. jesus, phil le gourmand, it's the difference between sauce made from your own tomatoes, and a jar of ragu.

I prefer German sports cars ... but maybe that's just b/c I can't afford the Italian ones! ;D There's just something about Italian bikes ... be it a hand-crafted steel frame or the latest whiz-bang combo of carbon fiber and whatever lightweight metal ... and now that I've been on the Campy components for a while, I can say that I definitely prefer their index shifters to the Shimanos. I like having two completely different motions to move the derailler up or down. I don't know which weighs less, but I know that I've gotten awfully fond of the Campy stuff. Have I mentioned that I just love my bike? Can't wait to get done with work today and get in a ride. NP: Julia

HÉ ! Be kind to Rossinante ... !
We've been through a lot together !!
Through and over Scotland, the Netherlands, the Loire Valley, Alsace-Lorraine, the Bordeaux region ...
Never more than 60 miles in a day with lot of stops along the way to visit a wine cave(or two), a cheesemaker place and a bakery ...
Finding a small river to picnic under a bridge while trying to locate the next wine cave ...Ü...

That's something I'll do one day too Phil...The idea of a cruising bike journey sort of appeals...I'd have to have Mrs strawman follow up in a motorised version as she does not share my love of cycling!!...yeah it'd be a great way to fill in a summer.
well I did race this weekend...yes the handicapper cut me some slack and put me 6 minutes further up the field and I was pretty strong really...towed the bunch I was with most of the way really, and totally for the last 15km. Got them home first, so they were quite appreciative, and now they sort of know how fast we move on scratch!!...yeah so back to scratch next week, so that'll be interesting....

Alright, straw! sounds like you're well on the way to recovery.
I didn't go fast today, but I did go far. Eighty-five miles with my participants, took almost seven hours, but I think they're ready to do 100 in Tahoe in two weeks.
I, too, would like to do the cruise thing, cross country maybe, when I have the time. Keep it under 100 miles per day, maybe take six weeks or so to do it. Also with Mrs. bear in the trailing sag wagon.

my Mondonico frame has arrived at the shop! i head down wednesday with my box of campy chorus parts, bars and stem, saddle and pedals for the shop to build it up, and then it shall be mine. oh, yes! it will be mine.
i plan on taking many pictures during the buildup, and once she's fully built, that i'll share when i can. and i can't wait til it's built and i can take it for a little shakedown ride before i take her home.
