Yep! Damn, who does Ben Wallace think he is with those fall-away jumpers... Kevin Garnett?
Bring on Carlisle and the Pacers!

I was going to make a comment here about how the Eastern Conference playoffs are irrelevant, but I'm sure you guys know that already.

Sad but true, Mr. L.bear. I just want the Pistons to go one round farther this year -- which would be into the Finals, where they will get smoked for sure.

TAYSHAUN!!!!! Was that a spectacular display of defensive hustle on Reggie Miller last nite, or what? I can see why the Western Conference snobs look down on the East, though... Rasheed Wallace: 5-for-21 Ron Artest: 4-for-19 Jermaine O'Neal: 6-for-18 Was that a basketball game or a bricklayers convention??

Geezus, Reggie Miller had this 'Where the FUCK did he come from?'-look and then went into his usual "Where's the DAMN foul??'-mode.....and Prince had gotten him SO clean. Ha. Cry Reggie, cry....
'Sheed WILL be back....I watched him for years playing alongside my Lith homeboy, Sabonis....'Sheed IS a great player, despite the temper...

How 'bout that? The Pistons are Eastern Conference champions! Who'd have thunk it? Yeah, they're going to get their asses kicked by the Lakers, but a fine accomplishment, none the less. Congratulations, Detroit Pistons!

Oh, they'll lose to the Lakers, but I don't think they'll get their asses kicked by any stretch of the imagination. They split the season series with them after all, and most of that was without Rasheed Wallace (who, granted, on any given day may be the worst guy on the team, but on the right day is also the best guy).
The series will go at least 6 games, I'm sure of it. My boys will probably lose, but let's not short change them, they have a chance, regardless of how horrendous tonight's game was.

YEAH, go-go Pistons!!
I don't know if there has been an uglier series ever played, but they made it one step farther than last year. I liked Drew Sharp's comment in the Free Press: "The best shot blocker tonight was the rim."
Perhaps with some pressure now relieved, they'll relax and actually hit a few more buckets. I think they can steal one in L.A. and maybe stretch this thing to 6 games. But the Lakers' experience wins it.
Some interesting matchups -- The Pistons have three seven-footers with 18 fouls to throw at Shaq. You've got Big Ben vs. Karl Malone, Rip vs. Kobe... or do you put Rip on Devean George and have Tayshaun guard Kobe?

I think it's got a strong possibilty of going at least 6....I just wish they had a maniac like Rodman playing for them('Sheed's got aspirations to be a scorer too, so he's not that type)who would throw his body at ANYbody. Totally BOMB the boards.... I mean, yeah so the Lakers win, but you've gotta make them fucking HURT too. Make 'em pay with a pound of flesh...heh. I guess I'd like a little hockey mixed in with my basketball...for this series at least!
