I hate Derek Jeter all the more for being from Michigan. This wonderful state produces much better all the time. The only thing Derek Jeter has ever done that I've approved of was when he made Mariah Carey go crazy. That was some grade-A top notch funny shit.

all right i'm back, and i think god is actually a yankees fan and is punishing me for heresy right now. you would not believe the shit that just happened here in the past hour or so, since i logged out, but basically my computer nearly went completely kaput in the past hour, which would have been utterly disastrous. anyway it seems ok after an hour of panicking and digging through old help manuals. so back to baseball... i'm actually a bit nervous right now. ordinarily 9-3 in the bottom of the 8th is damn comfortable, but given that this is the sox vs the yankees, i still have this vague feeling that everything could totally crumble. only about a 10 point spread would really make me feel comfortable. in any case, if the sox do pull it off, you yankees fans will have to show some fuckin respect. you may not like it but it would be the greatest damn comeback in baseball history. so bite me once again |

i think boston fans have been spoiled like hell lately. the patriots win 2 out of the last 3 superbowls, and what do we hear? "oh, no! we still haven't won a world series!". i'm a huge eagles fan and want a super bowl, but if i had to settle for, say, two world series or two nba championships in three years, i'd take them and be happy. even if i'd much rather have a super bowl. peh.
this is one of the biggest chokes in the history of major league sports.
