If this is referring to Knight I say yes. Apparently he made a joke and people took it wrong. I'm sure if we told him to not fuck around he wouldn't do anything like that again. He is a great guy and deserves another shot here. I hate the trolls more than anybody so I'm not being "soft on defense". I don't think making an exception is gonna hurt anybody here

in regards to knight, i vote yes as well. he's not a troll. he's a great guy, that merely made a joke, cause he knew how much we couldn't stand heavymetalfanatic. knight is a great guy, that has been a great friend to many of us, and would never intentionally hurt anybody. it was just a joke that unfortunately backfired on him.

Knight's not a troll but give him a second chance. Seriously, he meant no harm. I understand not everyone is familiar with him or his humor, but he's a sweet, funny guy. And he's from CT. CT being the coolest state there is, I think that should count for something.

Can't say I can honestly vouch for the quality of his innocense -- but from all the warm fuzziness around here for him, he seems like a stand up dude. As for the poll -- I just voted against ever giving spammers a second chance. fuck that shit -- get em outta here I say. I suppose the real question is: Is Knight the one & only secret identity behind "all" the flaming assholes back on the RS.board. I would not tend to think so. If he's guilty of a few pranks & practical jokes, that's one thing. I'm sure he'd behave after reflecting on all our input on this board, and stick with one identity that we could all recognize and come to terms with. But if he likes to FSU under the guise of multiple usernames spamming & bombing the boards -- I would say fuck him. But that just doesn't seem like the real Knight to me.  |

Now, on the subject of Knight/KnightSchool/heavymetalfanatic and now KnightsAttorney as well... oh, boy.
When I first saw that he was back as KnightsAttorney, I assumed, wrongly, that he had been in touch with Strat-0 and all had been worked out, with Knight explaining the reasons behind his not-so-funny "prank" on this NEW site. I messaged him and welcomed him back, also telling him that from his RS profile's Friends and Family list along with the profiles of others who listed him, that I think he must be a decent sort.
Well, by assuming he had straightened things out with Strat-0, I was an idiot. We all know how to spell "ASS - U - ME" and what it means to do it. After checking a bit further into the RS profiles, I found that "our" Knight had at least 2 identities at RS: _knight_ and also knightschool. Now, there's no law at RS about not having multiple identities. But there is here. It's said up front, on the initial Welcome post. That post also addresses trolls and spammers and states that none of the above will be tolerated because of all the bullshit it caused at RS.
Also, with further digging of the RS archives of the last page of posts there, I have found several "documents" listed under several people's names. Many are here in our midst. These documents included malicious codes - the ones that caused the pages to stretch, make the post button inoperable, changing the entire look of the RS page, etc. - you all remember them.
Oddly enough, the codes were identical as the code "our" triple-identity Knight tried to use here. Now, I don't know if you feel as I, but I don't find that sort of behavior acceptable from anyone, be it friend, family, or foe. I'm not trying to insinuate that "our" triple-identity Knight was responsible for any of the trolling/spamming at the original RS boards. All I'm saying is that it's not impossible that he may have been behind a portion, at least, of it.
On all of these "suspicious documents" I discovered, I had, again, ASSUMED that the people's names/posts were most likely the victims of the spammers. I still believe this to be true. Also, I must also add that the people whose names were listed in the "suspicious documents' code" were all listed on our "triple-identity" Knight's RS profile. This indicates, at least to me, that it's very possible that the RS _knight_ / knightschool may have very well have also been the not-so-cool HMF personna there, pulling the wool over the eyes of even his "friends," some of whom he met in person.
I understand that even the nicest of people in the real world believe that internet message boards are unimportant, and that they are free to "have their fun" in any way they choose. I don't agree. I do think they should be fun, entertaining, intelligent, silly, engrossing at times, and even flirty if and when the occasion arises. I don't go for the multiple personality idea. What's the point in having multiple personalities if not to fool people?
I'm also wondering why "our triple-identity" Knight didn't try to contact Strat-0 saying, "WTF, man? It was just a joke I was playing on my friends. I wasn't going to keep it up. I didn't know it would be taken so seriously here. Damn. I'm sorry I did it, now." Instead, he came back and rejoined us here as KnightsAttorney. I don't know about anyone else, but that gives me the idea that he thought, "Fuck you. Fuck you all. You're not keeping me out of here." I don't find that very cool.
Well, I think "fuck me once, shame on you... fuck me twice, shame on me" applies to busted trolls and spammers.
Just my humble opinion.

How do you have access to these RS profiles, friends and family lists, suspicious documents, archives, etc?
Bah.
I'm not sure where Knight hindered so much fun and amusement. Did he wreak havoc across multiple boards? I'm pretty sure he didn't.
This has gone too far, as far as I'm concerned, and the only people hindering my amusement of the boards are the people that are taking it entirely too seriously at the moment.
Fuck this. I'm on strike.
