How do you have access to these RS profiles, friends and family lists, suspicious documents, archives, etc?Simple, Someone. Go to Google.com. Type in "RollingStone" and then your own RS nickname in quotes. See what comes up. The RS archives are available to anyone smart enought to do a search. It's not exactly rocket science. "BAH?" I gotchyer bah.  I like a good strike.

There's also absolutely no way Knight was HMF. It's impossible.
Oh, and by the way, KJ, I did the whole Google thing, and all I got was a redirection to the main RS.com homepage. I couldn't access anything, though results came up. What's the deal, huh.

Here’s my 2 cents.
Don’t know Knight so I can’t say good or bad guy but the fact is RS had gotten wayyyyyy !!! out of hand.
Even if he were “just joking” as some have said perhaps it will serve as notice that people are truly extremely very tired of that kind of crap.
I for one lost almost all interest in RS because I got damn tired of wading though 99.9 % crap posts to get to 1% of gems.
Let’s not let that happen here. Joking or other wise.

He did say that. He just didn't say that to you or Strat. He said it to me, today, on the phone. He called me and asked what was going on because he knew I was the one who outed his prank. The reason why he didn't contact you directly is because he's modest and shy. Trust me, I've met him.

I'm not doubting that he's a nice guy in real life. I'm not doubting it one bit. I've said as much before, in that horridly long post earlier. But Strat's the one who had to make the call about what to do about the situation. It's good that he talks to you and his other friends, and it's good that you've got a friend in him that means so much to you. Cherish those types of friendships. Good friends are few and far between. Here's a link to one of the many "suspicious documents" to which I had referred. The name listed in the thing... well, I don't believe for one second that he is the one who did the code. I think he, like the others, were just the name chosen to use for the code. Look, someone. Maybe you should go back and read what I said. Maybe pull out a dictionary at the same time. If you have to read it twice to understand it, then read it twice. To make it a little easier for you, here's what I said about the people that were listed in the codes:

Where in there did I ever say or even insinuate that any of those people were spammers or trolls or anything other than a victim or a name to be used by the one putting in the fucking code? Don't be trying to put words in my mouth. Just watch the ones coming out of yours. Maybe read your post before posting, and read the post you're posting about before hitting "Post." Good grief!
I wish you'd do what you said you'd do and go on strike until this is all over and done with. You're really doing all you can to make things more stressful, it seems. Why are you acting like this, anyway? How old are you? Maybe you could take a chill pill or something.
BTW, I wouldn't suggest trying to go off on me. You don't know me. You really don't know me. I'm a nice woman, but don't get me pissed off. You don't want to see that at all. It's not a pretty sight.
It's a fucking shame your friend Knight was so stupid as to have pulled a stunt like this. Instead of ragging on people here, why not rag on him for being a fucking idiot by doing it?

whoa - kayjay, are you actually trying to start a flamewar? theres no need to go around insulting the intelligence of people around here, and i should warn you to pick your battles with more care if you think you can get the better of someone. you guys may have moderator power here, but remember why you made these temp boards in the first place. was it to make arbitrary decisions about who stays and who goes? was it to turn yourself into the RS police force? or was it to make a friendly, temporary alternative for us poor souls who'd been ousted from the usual boards?
however, it seems that one cant safely go against the wishes of the high council or one will find oneself banned.

This is getting a bit heavy isn't it.... why don't we all kinda pop a chill pill and realise we're falling back into the same ol' habits as what ruined the atmosphere over at RS.com.
I personally don't think Knight is a spammer / hacker / whatever... he may have pulled a dumb stunt, but I don't see board stretching, over the top spamming, stupid comments or html bombs... so what's the big deal??!
Come on, its this argument that is doing more to our fledgeling independent community here than anything any proposed spammer is... lets all take it easy.
I'm not siding with anyone in particular either, lets just all pop a chill pill and relax.

I think this poll was made to make it not all fall on one person's shoulders so that one person didn't appear to be acting as the police, as you put it. Whoa guys speaking of misunderstandings……. Knowing strat & KayJ they I assure you did not set up these boards to become some sort of pseudo gods.
It was supposed to be a nice hassle (read no idiot posts) type place.
While I can relate to being upset about a friend being wrongly accused (as you see it) if you take the time to go back to the first post ever on this site Welcome # 1 you can’t miss clearly spelt out what shouldn’t occur here.
That said there’s really no excuse IMO. Not just for Knight but for anyone.
