[glow=yellow,1,300] You know something-? The more I realize just exactly what the nature of Knight's joke was, the more freaking hilarious it is becoming to me. On that merit alone, I for one say he should be championed for a real humdinger of a zinger, and be carried in onto these boards suspended in the air by all our hands. Let's CrowdSurf that boy in here!! That's what I was trying to get at. It was actually a half decent joke. He didn't ruin any boards. That "HaHA-LOLOLOL" thing was just total genius and the fact that some people were terrorized by it makes it even more funny. As long as people are somewhat cordial to each other and we can post on the boards w/o problems I don't see why we can't have any laughs. This whole thing seems like a "knee-jerk" reaction to something minor and all the hoopla is totally unnecessary. |

Like I said, I didn't put any time into creating this board so it isn't my decision, but I think this could have been settled a lot easier. Oh well, the drama continues.... do you think it should have been handled? |

How do you think it should have been handled? I'm not sure how i would have handled it. I probably would have reacted the same way strat-o did at first and banned the name. But then I think I would have read the first couple of posts from people who came to knights defense. i think too much emphasis has been made on posters that don't know Knight. A lot of us here do know him and are obviously making a stink out of the whole situation because we feel strongly about it. |

BTW, I recieved complaints of a troll before I ever saw any of the posts. Seems I don't have time to actually read and respond on the boards much these days. I investigated and took action. You can't please everyone.
I would like to reiterate: Some of us may have to come to grips with the idea that some of our friends at RS may have actually engaged in the troll/bomb behavior that we dislike so, without us knowing it was them. Just something to consider.
Clubber, if Knight doesn't want to come back after the shitstorm, I would keep in mind what started it. The ball is in his court. As one of the biggist targets of the bombers at RS, you should understand the feelings of those who didn't get the "joke." And I really don't believe the post at CE was a "joke." And if it was, it was rude.

How is that different from what strat-o has done? Aren't we only talking about the span of one-half of a day? Who has put "too much emphasis... on posters that don't know Knight "? I've told strat, and I'll say it here, I admire the way he's handled this. A line has been drawn as to what will not be tolerated, and knight has been de-banned. What more do you want? |

Bear, you are cracking me up, probably unintentionally but you still are. The bombers aren't gonna find this place. Knight isn't a bomber. I'm telling you, he isn't. His joke is actually getting more hilarious each time I read some of these paranoid posts. it's like the bombers have scarred you in a traumatic way. I like this board, it was a really cool thing that you guys have done here and I truly appreciate it. I'm done ranting about this. Let the chips fall where they may

I'm officially bored with this one. Bearing in mind my short attention span, I've actually done pretty well to this point to even keep up with the meery go round of thsi thing. I love all you guys. I really do. I'll be at CanCon eating chips, watching hockey, listening to Rush, and getting hammered on Nova Scotia beer.  |

haha, this tribunal thing is great. I don't know what the current situation on Knight's reinstatement is, but I'll put up this flyer anyway...the show will go on nevertheless because there are already some great acts lined up and we can't just tell them to go home. It's easy to criticize, club, but I see you have difficulty offering alternative solutions, or even explaining what you're criticizing. If the banned person wasn't a friend (wasn't knight in our fantasy football league?), you probably wouldn't even have voice opinion here. You think this is ludicrous, even paranoid, because you know the guy. But I maintain that strat took proper action to preserve what everyone wants, a peacefull place to interact.

I think if you had ever had the misfortune of interacting with the real heavymetalfanatic, you would see how it was a joke. Since she often posted at CE (as Angel_in_black), i guess knight thought it'd go over ok there. Obviously it didn't. |

I don't think this poll was set up for anyone's amusement. I think strat was merely asking for help on this whole thing. He did what he felt he had to do, and I, along with others - many others, I might add, applaud him for taking charge and trying to protect these boards from unwelcome pesky behavior.
There's been so much BS around here that only 21 of the members here have even voted. I don't blame the rest for not wanting to come in and vote for fear of being dragged into a big pot of bullshit, thus making a mockery of strat's attempt at fairness. I'm sure that makes him proud to have tried to keep RS alive and well...
Now... to open another can of worms. I've no doubt that the new member called "KnightsAttorney" is not Knight, but someone here who registered as a second identity just to fuck with people - strat in particular, since he's the one that had to do the banning. Now... does that fall into the category of what isn't allowed as mentioned on the first post on the Welcome board? I wish whoever registered themselves (thinking it cute, I'm sure), would delete that identity and stop being a horse's ass. It seems like everyone should have learned some lessons throughout all this, but it is evidently not the case for some. After all, isn't that the same kind of thing that caused this whole thing?
I'd like to know how many people think this is about Knight and his stupid prank instead of what it's truly about, which is not allowing trolls.
Sad, sad, sad.
Is there anyone who would like to try trade "jobs" with Strat right now? I doubt it.

Knight registered as KnightAttorney....he's a funny guy. I'm not responding to anymore posts about this. I said my peace, the rest of the people that want to say anything will come out and speak their minds like they have for hour upon hour here the last day and a half. I'm donw with the subject, I don't have the energy to do it right now. It's my birthday tomorrow so i'm getting drunk 2 days in a row. You're only 28 once. I suppose it's possible that someone else didn't register the knightsAttorney name, but I find it hard to believe, since the name isn't what was banned. It was the IP number that was banned, making it impossible for him to have come in after the fact and registered here. So... the ? remains.
