As some of you know(maybe 2 or 3 of you), I was banned about a month ago. I wasn't given a reason and found the whole thing unfair. I didn't post here for almost a year because i felt the board was being run by power hungry people who just wanted to shut up anybody that had a different opinion than them in certain instances. My opinion about certain people being banned was taken as "insubordinate" and was most likely the reason for my banning.
I either want an apology from the administartors from this board or a decent explanation on why i was banned. My goal isn't to cause trouble or make a big stink but i feel that the "system" here is unfair and should basically be put on trial. I was one of the first people here on this board and still hold the "moderator" postion for the sports board. It just goes to show that i was an integral part of this board from the start but was "repremanded" by the powers that be for a reason. I want to know the reason and i want other people who post here to know as well. Bring on the trial since i know there won't be a decent explanation or an apology

And it isn't a coincidence that i'm posting on the "Trial" thread here. A good friend of mine "Knight" was booted off of here just because he had a sense of humor(something some people here obviously lack).
Get this! He scared the shit out of people here by HTML'ing a "bomb" on one of the boards. The posters here were running for the mountains after he did it cause they figured it was like old times at RS.com. It was a joke and the funniest thing i've ever seen on a message board. He explained it was a joke and yet was given a "trial" by some people here. He apologized and explained what was going on yet some people were so hurt by the fake bombing that he was banned. He was eventually let back in but why would he want to post with people who didn't think the whole thing was funny?
I thought the same thing and hesitated to post here ever again after all that. I eventually did about a year later but was lambasted for backing up somebody who was posting to many....get this! Comic Book Pictures!
He was fucking banned cause he posted Spider man pictures!! Unbelievable! The whole thing is just baffling!!! I feel we need to set things on the table and figure out if this is some Nazi board or a get-together of people from RS.com that want to post together.
I feel it's more of a place where people of the same opinion can chat but those "other" people who have a different slant on life get banned for personal reasons.

I doubt Knight would want to, he has too much pride and his humor flies over the head of most people here. I can't speak for Pissin but i would guess that he wants to. He talked about music all the time here and was banned cause he posted comic book pictures. Yeah, he was warned, but what grown man is gonna take a warning about comic book pictures seriously. And what grown man would ban somebody for posting a Superman picture, it's not like it was Superman holding a dildo that was ramming some kid in the ass. As for me, i would like to post here. The sports board needs to be reveived and i love talking about music and politics. My main problem is how some of these bannings were handled and where the "line" is. I was banned cause i felt the moderators were doing a bad job and called them out on it. God forbid somebody should question the moderators. Look at all the effort they put into this board! Gimme a break.....it's not much effort and it isn't "great" that they started it or keep it toghether. A 12 year old can do it. It just so happens that the former RS community posts here and they are in charge cause they did it first. It doesn't make them special because of that and it doesn't give them the right to ban people just because they feel they are "helping" the board stay in order. |

Speaking for myself, I'd love to see you back here. No questions asked. I try to post stuff on the sports board but there's not much response, so you'd be most welcome.
Same goes for Knight and Pissin. And everyone else who have abandoned these boards because of running issues.
I don't feel like regurging all the things that went on in the past. I'm sure everyone else here doesn't want to either. If you had issues with people here why not avoid them in the future? There's many other posters that you can talk to.
I really don't want to see this become another shitfight.

Maarts - there are quite a few posters on this board who are worth posting here for. You, for example. I don't think anyone (from "the other side") really posts here to cause shit. This board does have a lot that the other one is lacking in.
ie healthy debate. Phil's recipes. Dr Drum's infinite wisdom. the wonderful music tastes of many people. different faces. feuds. the people you love to hate. etc.
but theres always been this sort of 'divide' on RS between various cliques of people. which is pretty tragic. and I hate to even mention it, but i know its an issue for some people.
whats my point? i don't really know. there just seems to be a whole heap of tension & bitterness all around this place & it makes people act like pussies.

I'm not one to hold grudges either, i just feel this needs to be brought up. I feel some people were treated unfairly. It's not as if 1,000 people post here, it's like 125 tops, 30 being the "main" people who post here. KMC was banned too for also posting comic book pictures. Can you read that right? banned for posting comic book pictures...yup, that's just stupid. And whenever somebody wants to talk about this stuff they get banned(like me). it's like they are scared to hear the truth. I want to get to the bottom of it wheteher i get banned or not. I just feel a trial is needed or an apology |

Again, I'd love to have you back and contribute. What's a trial or debate gonna resolve?
What's gonna happen is just a repeat of moves made on this chessboard ages ago. Strat and Chrisfan are gonna argue that you had been warned. You are gonna argue the stupidness of it all. Nasty words (like the 'Nazi'-part you used earlier) are gonna get thrown back and forth. I doubt if anyone's gonna apologise. It's a game of one-upmanship which ultimately no one's gonna win.
I'm not gonna get involved in anything further for it's not my place, not my battle. I can only say this: I'd love you all to come back. I'm not gonna take sides. I reach you my hand. I see more value in an in-depth description of the upcoming NFL-season than in using yuor energy for this debate. Whatever happens next, I won't hold anything against you.
