Both of them were total Bullshit to be honest, especially the Bowlie one. They are all very left wing (imagine 250 raging Mary Blaneys) and I pointed out how close-minded they were about the Abortion. So the moderator, a guy named David "if you cant stand the heat, stay out of the" Kitchen banned me so that everytime I clicked on the site a link to an article about Trolls popped up.
So I read the article and even emailed the author of the article, gave him a link to Bowlie and explained the situation. The author reviewed the thread and said that I was not a troll, but that I had simply gotten involved in a flame war.
So I emailed David Kitchen back and asked him this:

Mr. Campbell, Hello I just sent you an email about how I got banned from a
message board called Bowlie and how I was labeled a troll. Since that email I
have read your article about 'flame wars' and I believe that this (a flame war)
is what I became involved in. I also think that the penalty for getting
involved in a flame war should be much less severe than the penalty for being a
serial troll. I can see the rationale for banning a troll, but to give a
lifetime ban to someone who has simply gotten wrapped up in a flame war doesnt
seem fair. I think a short term ban would be enough to wise that person up.
Anyway, I'm emailing you because I would like to ask the webmasters at Bowlie
who banned me to allow you to be an arbitrator in the case of my being
banned--that is if you would be interested or willing to do this. As an expert
in the field I think both me and Bowlie can agree that you would make the idea
arbitrator. Since Bowlie already uses your articles as guidance for situations
like this, I'm sure they would agree to your findings. It would also take the
onus off of them: they could no longer be accused of being unfair,
power-tripping dictators. And who knows, maybe this practice will catch on and
you can create a niche for yourself.
Anyway, I'd like to send a copy of this email to Bowlie, then awaiting your
response, we can perhaps blaze a new trail in fairness and democracy in regard
to internet posting.

For 2 reasons:
1) Because Bowlie is my website, as in, I own it. On my website I have
empowered numerous people to help with the running, three admins in
total, and a number of moderators. It is not only the view of these
people that you are a troll, but additionally if the power and
responsibility that I have entrusted in these people can be made
irrelevant by your introducing a third party arbitrator, then they
have no authority in which to perform their roles.

What you have effectively done, is to enter a party/meeting held at
someone's home, and then proceeded to make an arse of yourself by
spoiling the party for many of the people there and make it look less
inviting to those peering through the windows. What we have
effectively done is then eject you from the party. That you then want
to invite a neighbour around to arbitrate your ejection strikes me as
extraordinary.

2) Because I'm pretty sure the owner of the site in question has
better things to do with his time.

Sounds like an awfully good reason to ban someone to me. An individual has absolutely no right to go to a private web site and then just piss people off, which is what you did there -- and are well on your way to doing here.

Who have I pissed off here?
I look at it like this, if I throw a party I'm gonna want the people to feel free to express themselves. I mean if someone comes and just agrees with everything the host says, then that's gonna be a pretty fucking boring party. ANd if the host jsut invites like minded people who all agree with him, then that's gonna be a pretty boring party too (unless they invite strippers or something). Shouldnt a message board be a cesspool of various ideas. I know, I know. You folks have your token Right WInger in Chrisfan, but why cant there be a place for someone like me who cant be pigeonholed with labels liek liberal or conservative? Why cant there be acceptence for an independent if not unorthadox viewpoint like mine?
