riley, I rather liked Teenage Fanclub back then...weren't they kinda clumped in with the "power pop" movement such as the Posies?........

Yeah Bow there were a few bands like TF and the Posies at that time. A lot of heart felt clever fuzzed up guitar pop. My weak spot, with heart felt and clever being the ultimate selling features.

ditto Riley Ditto..I actually saw the Posies open up for the Replacments for the latters' 'All Shook Up" tour..of the four times or so I saw the Mats, that was the most lackluster show of them all..........I think Paul was definitely on his way out.....

Yeah. I bought All Shook Up last year to fill some collection holes, and even on disc it's clear that Mr. Paul needed to recharge.

conversely, when I saw the mats on the 1985 'Tim' tour, it was one of the most revved-up supercharged, racous shows I've ever attended.............

ok, I now have Alladin Sane nicely nestled as my icon..now, someone instruct me how I can copy pictures into the message box....I really want to join the rest of you...... bowiglou, you ol' geezer, get with the modern technology here. When you hit the "Reply" button, the site brings you to a window where you type in your message. Above that window are a lot of icon buttons that, when selected, give the appropriate html commands to bold, italicize, etc. On the second row, fourth button from the left, is a picture of a picture, which is the "Insert Images" button. When you click that button, you get: [im g]URL[/img] You type (or cut and paste) the URL of your desired picture where it asks for "URL," just like you typed the bowie URL in your profile. To find the picture URL, first find a website with a desired picture. (Picture has to be a .jpg or a .bmp. Then right click on the picture and select "Properties." The box that pops up will have "Address (URL)." Cut and paste that where I previously instructed. For instance, on www.iggypop.com/photos.php, there is this photo: That has this URL: www.iggypop.com/_img/gallery/thumb_03.jpg

- Sole d'Oro : Multiple blooms that are a rich butter yellow and so fully fully double that the disk is hidden within the bloom. Six feet tall.
- Valentine : Smaller lemon yellow ray petals surround a dark center. 5 foot bushy plant.
- Orange Sun : Bright calendula orange blooms with a double face ringed with a tuft of ray petals. Six foot.
- Italian White : Four inch blooms with chocolate centers ringed with a thin band of buttery yellow on white, pointed petals. Six foot bushy multiflora plant.
