We all love Bob...even Riley no matter how he may deny it...
Did I need to list all the albums? Certainly not. I did anyway.
Discuss.

I voted for "Blonde on Blonde" but it could easily have been "Highway 61 Revisited" with "Blood on the Track" right up there too ...

It was a toss up between Freewheelin' and The Times They Are A-Changing for me. Of course, I would go with a collection like Biograph. I had to check the discography to refresh what is on what, and I noticed he sure did rehash his stuff a lot. I caught the second half of the Scorsese thing - strangely I have little comment...

I'm thinking about casting a vote for the Dylan album that has contributed the most to various compilition discs I've put together, and that personally affected me the most, rather than the album that I generally rank as his finest. It's not Infidels (though it was certainly one of my faves), it's not Blonde on Blonde (my usual pick) ... no, I'm gonna go with Time Out of Mind. Bob's meditation on life and death is every bit as good as his sixties work, and it (IMHO) is his most poignant recording.
So I'm the oddball who voted for TOOM (or "tomb" as I kinda like to pronounce it).

I voted for John Wesley Harding. Always had a soft spot for that one.

So who voted for Oh Mercy? Did Ben Peach show up without telling me? (I think it was Ben who loved that album).
Yeah, I like this voting for your personal favorite Bob, rather than the one you think is his "best."

Blood on the Tracks, no contest. Of all his albums, it's the only one I've ever truly listened to obsessively, and the only one I'd take with me to a desert island. Gotta be able to hear If You See Her, Say Hello at least once a week...
Cheers, M
