Which songs have the uncanny knack of getting stuck in your head for days every time you hear them? And is it possible to tune out an irritating song? If ever a politician ran that vowed to ban piping recycled music (and it's usually that easy-listening AC crap) into grocery stores, restaurants and lobbies, he'd have my vote in a heartbeat. Sometimes it's extremely loud; there's no way to hold a conversation over it, much less tune it out. And do you ever find yourself singing or humming a song that you absolutely hate and you just can't stop yourself from doing it?!?!? AAAAGGGGHHHH!!!!

There's one right now I can think of- something from Germany that has invaded Australia about a month ago- a dirge called 'Schnappi' which is a kiddy-song that went ballistic there and now's driving me nuts here...that one and the Crazy Frog-shit from the Jamster mobile ringtone maffia.
Bring back Napoleon XIV!

See how much this song gets into the heads of it's victims?!
It's an evil construct, sent to destroy us all... beginning with our sanity and working it's way out...

The company I slave for, has an office in Bangkok, Thailand. Over the last few months, each time someone mentions the office in Bangkok, I get "One Night in Bangkok" stuck in my head. And it takes days to get rid of it. It creeps back at unexpected times when I'm not paying attention. All of a sudden, I find myself humming the melody.

any LCD soundsystem and it's over for me for the whole day. I will try so hard to get it out of my head, but it just stays firmly lodged. I have been fighting this for days and typing this has actually brought the curse back upon me. Damn.
