Here's a good dance mix for those are interested. I also would like to talk about synthpop, dancepunk, pop, and other dancey musics.

Can't go wrong with The Faint or Vhs or Beta
"Desperate Guys" was one of my favorite songs of the year(#10) and Night on Fire scared me that Robert Smith had went totally electronic disco
VHS or Beta-The Only group I know who's from Kentucky in dance music

Rocky, I have been in outer space I think for a while. No.....I've just really been into dance music for the last year or so. Don't get me wrong though.....I still love the metal, post-punk, punk, and indie rock that I have been known for in the past, just branching out a bit. <p> VHS or Beta kicks some serious ass live, I have to say. I saw them last night when they opened up for the Scissor Sisters. I have to say that VHS or Beta blew them off of the stage. They were so tight and so good that I could not believe how awesome they were. The weirdest thing was that there were alot of people there to see VorB that didn't know what to think of the Scissor Sisters at all. The reaction was hilarious and alot of my friends took off because they thought that it was a little too ABBA or Elton John, which personally is one of the reasons why I like them. Scissor Sisters put a really good show and it was nice to see a very small crowd have some fun with some good bands.
It does weird me out though how much that guy from VHS or Beta sounds like Robert Smith.

Good thing you replied to rocky. I have to admit I’d been puzzled as to your sudden interest in da club mix.

I've become quite fascinated with fun of dancing, the sounds of good dance music (like Franz Ferdinand, not like Chemical Bros or Prodigy or crap like that) and I like alot of it isn't the most serious thing in the world. I've really gotten away from serious soul searching music because I feel as though I had listened to too much of that and had become a boring too serious minded person. Now, I'm just mixing it up alot more and I find myself listening to it with more fascination than I would say the new Wilco record. Blasphemous I know, but I can't really get into these serious introspective records riight now. I'm sure I'll get back into it, but this genre is while not really new to me ( i was really into depeche mode, skinny puppy, and eurythmics in the 80s ) it's fascinating me much more these days.

ha.....that being said I listened to Dylan's "Tears of Rage" because of the 60 minutes interview. Jeez.....then I just went straight to the Miss Kitten cds to get back in the mood. Part of it is that I am making my own dance music now, totally on my own and for FREE. I don't think that people should make money on music anymore. I know, I get stranger the older I get..... Jesus.......yes.....in my best movie voice "he's BAAAAACK!" good to see you you limey bastard!

Stars are super good and that new record is just infectious.
Good list! Nice to see some Cabaret Voltaire and 242 on there. I especially love all Cabaret Voltaire.
Right now I'm making a mix for a friend and it's this so far:
1. Siouxsie and the Banshees-Red Light 2. No Doubt-Making Out 3. Gerling-Smash the Elevator Glass 4. Franz Ferdinand-Love and Destroy

Dance music? That'd be swing. I can jitterbug like crazy, daddy-O! I learned a lot of the steps in college, when I took a dance class to fill my PE requirement (oh, and it was very retro then too, mind you!) I enjoyed its recent comeback - used to dress the part and get into the nightclub for free, too! That was the cat's pajamas!

I would just like to say two things:
By Annie's Anniemal for serious good dance.
U2 totally sucks. Still. Horrible.
