Suprisingly well......you played some excellant stuff, man. I've really been digging on that DFA #2 compilation myself.
Highlights were: The Faint, Q and Not U, PIL, Kraftwerk remixes that I busted out.
Lowlights: the fact that the guy before me played too much NERD stuff and I got inundated with requests for some really lame stuff that got played.
All in all, New Year's Eve was a blast and atleast me and my girl threw down some mad jams and drank way too much.

Pantera have a great sense of fashion. Especially when they were a glam metal band. You could have put up a picture of that and said "See, that's fashion!"
I bet you that guy wasn't the only one wanting to hear some Pantera. Hell, even if no one else asked I would have been like "Dude, 15 people asked me to play Cowboys From Hell! I had to do it." (I can dance to Cowboys From Hell)

Speaking of metal and dancing, I was thinking it's time to pull out my vinyl version of Crusaders by Saxon. Either that or Denim & Leather. You can dance to Saxon too, you just look a bit special needs to people who don't know you so well. Best lyrics ever. Irony free and embarassing the way metal lyrics should be. Denim and Leather Brought us all together It was you that set the spirit free Denim and Leather Brought us all together It was you that set the spirit free
Makes me want to shake so much ass.

Pissin your killing me with the visual of late 20'-mid 30's in tuxes(losers) busting a move to "Cowboys"
when all they wanted was the "Macrena"
Patten's Only Rule reguarding playlist
NO ELECTRIC SLIDE I always imagine my first vision of Hell it's playing as you go in

No Macrena & no f*cking “Bird Dance” either. What the hell are people thinking when they request such drivel? That for me is when its time for a bathroom break (muffling factor) Stupidest DJ thing ever said to me (this week after calling 1 o’clock request hr from work & requesting Highwire. “I just played a Stones song this block”) excuse me! It’s a request hr is it not? I had to settle for B Of Broken Dreams Gday because he had no Ramones Palisades Park either. Ackkkkkkk. Sadly, it’s our best station.

I’m going to revise that stupidest comment…… this a.m. same station the guy was reading a story about Antonio Banderas & wife being turned down to rent in the Dakota.
And he said the board of the building didn’t want another Lennon type incident. Then he went on to (I kid not)call Lennon the ex pres saying........ “ the former president was shot outside the apartment” & gave the date. I stopped working & waited for the correction but it never came. I’m starting to develop a beef with stations hiring guys who are to fringing young & seem to have no musical knowledge. I mean that IMO is one huge F*cking error!

3. Gerling-Smash the Elevator Glass
Skvor! Good to see someone else writing about Gerling! What are your thoughts on them... I have loved them since their very interesting / bizarre / just a little lo fi / budget debut "Children of Telepathic Experiences"
Totally fun, whacked out, and often bizarre band, and totally not what I'd normally listen to but they just have such strong material on all their albums... looking forward to hearing more from them, and must bust out an album or two by them this weekend... :-)
