Out Of Time is the better of the three, IMO.
Faith Hope Love and Gretchen Goes To Nebraska are both good Kings X albums too.

Why is it so easy to turn any board into REM discussion? "Daysleeper" is one of their best singles, definitely. Will never grow tired of that song, in particular. Agree 100% with what Ken just said... wayved - Yeah, it's been a while since I gave Monster a few more chances. I'll try it again. It'll be a shame if i never like it, because i've always Been really keen on the cover art.

Have you heard the one with the guy with the bulb for the head on the cover? Mr. Bulbous, I think? It was alright, I guess. Faith Hope Love was good, but I've never heard the latter. I still think Dogman was the best of what I've heard. "Cigarettes" and their Hendrix cover were damn fine.

Monster is the worst R.E.M. album that isn't Around the Sun. But it's still got "What's the Frequency Kenneth?" and "Strange Currencies" ... and "Crush With Eyeliner" and "King of Comedy" are a lot of fun as well. Other than AtS, there's no such thing as a bad R.E.M. album.

Other then At My Most beautiful there's nothing worth listening to on Up, Monster is much better.

I did like "Crush..." a lot. Every time i Catch it on the radio, I can't help but turn it up. The rest I found to be a bit bland though. I'll give it another shot, soon enough I suppose...can't hurt.
question:
other than being a huge impact on Counting Crows, were Cracker ever considered important?
if not then their self-titled should go up there too. As much as they've been ripped off. those guys fucking rocked. Especially then.

I sort of like "Circus Envy". And "Let Me In" is classic.

Kerosene Hat is a really good album but no Cracker was never important.

That being said, I get giddy every time I hear "Low" on the radio, which is still surprisingly frequently.

I nominate both Toadies albums. I wish they were more important than they were. I love the Toadies.
Where is Kathman? She is my Toadies buddy.

Kerosene Hat is a really good album but no Cracker was never important. Agreed. But "Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)" is my favorite Cracker song. Used it to flirt w/an attractive young lady once. Great song.
