So anyone have any new recomendations? I'm trying to find bands from this century to get into, but it just aint working out for me. Based on my love for classic rock, and inparticular Brit rock, what the hell is out today that is worthwhile? I dig Kings Of Leon and the Zutons, but other than that, I'm finding it real hard to get into newer bands...
I've been listening to a lot of Frank Zappa lately - Hot Rats and the Great Wazoo are both excellent choises if you don't know much about Mr. Zappa. I'm sure Phil could talk more about him than I can....

Mmm..... Brothers and Sisters who are an Austin band with stuff out is pretty 70s rock in a Neil Young sort of way.
You might check out Destroyer, who I think are pretty classic rock sounding.
You might like the new Hold Steady record titled "Boys and Girls in America" out on Vagrant Records. It has this cool 70s Segar vibe going on.
Band of Horses and My Morning Jacket are pretty classic rock to me. If you haven't checked those guys out, you really should.
That's all I got for right now.

^^^ Thanks for the input....I'll see if I can find somthing online of the above mentioned bands to listen today.
I've actually seen MMJ twice live b/c they opened for Pearl Jam....for the most part I thought they were pretty good (but not Pearl Jam good). Never heard of Band of Horses or Destroyer, I'll do some research today.

To quote Skvorrissey, "the new Hold Steady is the JAM." It has Seger, Springsteen, and Thin Lizzy smeared all over it.

Based on my love for classic rock, and inparticular Brit rock, what the hell is out today that is worthwhile? You might dig the new Kenichi Asai solo album. Or maybe not, I dunno, you tell me. I've uploaded a song on sendspace if you're curious. Whoops, the link didn't work, hold on, lemme try again.
