offer of Sex and CDs in the City What, use sex as bribery? Why Phil, I'm shocked! I was going to ask my work boyfriend if he was going, but he tore a ligament or something in his knee playing football and now is out of commission. Sigh.

Isn't going to Burdocks shows or Christmas concerts you don't really want to see some kind of spousal duty?

Oh sorry - it's actually a Jon-Rae show, not a Burdocks show. Just realized my original post wasn't very clear. But yes, I think it should be. Especially when tickets are only $10! I wish you guys all lived here so you could come with me.

Now that it's Friday morning, I'm actually sort of glad I'm not going out tonight. This old and boring lady can't handle going out two nights in a row anymore. And I spent this week's 'going out' night getting drunk with aforementioned work boy and going through our iPods, comparing songs. Hugely nerdy, but quite a lot of fun. Though perhaps not as much fun as going to the Jon-Rae show. I suck.

I'm on a three-day concertgoing streak here, so take that Mrs. Old-And-Boring.
This message was brought to you by Mr. Old-And-Boring-But-Too-Stubborn-To-Admit-It. I hope tonight's show doesn't kill me.

I was listening to both Zumpano discs yesterday for the first time in a long time. Solid solid stuff. I always forget what great songs Newman wrote even that far back.

I hope tonight's show doesn't kill me. Haha. To make me appear slightly less pathetic, I'll be doing two concert nights in a row this coming weekend... and work boy has offered me tickets to see ¡Forward, Russia! on the following Friday. If I follow through, that'll be three shows in a week. Not quite as impressive as your streak, Ryo, but I'm trying.

Didn't see much of the tournament this year, but was pleased to see the boys do so well.

Oddly, given everything this year, I managed to keep up. With work and all, I missed the first two periods of the final but the sight of 1500 or so Canadians (team + fans) singing a badly off-key version of "O Canada" at the end of it all, in an arena the middle of friggin' Scandinavia, almost made up for it.
