Oh man did I buy way too much shit at all 3 Amoeba's while I was in Cali. Fucking A, those places are way cool. Not to mention me buying stuff at other record stores all over the Bay and LA area. Of the small independent record stores, Aquarius in San Francisco was the best. Those dudes were super fucking nice and their store was a blast.

Hey I really like that new White Stripes single, cool video for it too!
Well, I am back to0 thinking about potential purchases again, having just bought a raft of new albums...
Gotta get that REM live CD/DVD at some point, just cause I am a completist as far as they are concerned...

How is that new Fogerty record? I've been jamming a ton of old CCR stuff and I've been really curious about it. I haven't heard a thing off of it yet.

The new Fogerty album is very CCR-ish. I really like it. Robert Plang & Alison Krauss, Raising Sand

I quite agree with the general sentiments I read about this album. The EPs were fantastic (I love those slow building songs like Joshua) and this album seems to take the foot off the gas a bit. But it is a good album, lots of depth and soaring guitars. Always been a sucker for the genre. It does get better with repeat listens.

Once a fleabitten goth, always a fleabitten goth, aye Yeah it does bare more persistence than the instant EP hitters (well, about as instant as a band of such sunny demeanour can achieve). Death of an Idealist has really grown on me of late. As has Victress, both of which I think they played live. Oh, incidentally, if they visit Oz - check em out. They put on a good show do the lads from Leeds.
