Some nice new additions to your collection there Ayinger... I saw a couple of early Genesis albums in there! ;-) Foxtrot is still a big time favourite of mine, and Tresspass is a favorite too, although lesser so, as its a much less mature form of earlier Genesis, one that still hadn't quite realised its songwriting powers. It does however have some gorgeous music on it, some really nice layered accoustic twelve string stuff, but a horrible "pencils on wet paper" drum sound... imagine the songs done live and try to tune out to the horrid drum sound and it becomes more enjoyable... :-)
I noticed Automatic for the People in there too, which is amongst my favourite REM albums, and U2's "Pop", which in my opinion was their last GOOD album instead of popular opinion being that it was garbage...
At least they were still trying something new and coming up with good results, IMHO, instead of wallowing off the past, as they did with All That You Can't Leave Behind and How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb - both of these albums just sound, how do you put it? ... Stale? Well they doi as far as I am concerned...

Didn't check but is that Blackfield a DVD? I wasn't quite as sold on II. as I was on the first outing -- NOT that it was bad but just saying in comparison....probably ought to revisit it. And didn't Wilson sneak out another PT ep sometime this year? Think I saw you bring it up waayyyy back upon a time but I didn't follow up on it. Afraid that Fear Of A Blank Planet (as did its predecessor) lost me some too with how it sounded on the whole. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Arrived a couple hours ago: Alice In Chains Music Bank BOX SET Didn't have anything by the band, found this on the net used so *click-click-click* led to the mailman ringing the bell a couple days later.... Covers Dirt in its entirety and seems to hit most of the important notes otherwise over its 3 discs. Also hoping for this to show up before Xmas: Comets On Fire Avatar

Yeah, the Blackfield is a live-DVD. Shortlisted it to watch on Christmas Day. I liked Blackfield II too but I haven't played it as much as the Porcupine Tree-disc.

Just received in the mail: & "Dive" is my favorite Nirvana song. I'm hoping the rest of this is decent.

Drive-By Truckers Brighter Than Creation's DarkSo far only 1/2 way through the disc...and I am liking it. It's got a definite southern sound going on -- I don't know if the word "lighter" is the right descriptive for it compared to earlier outings by the band. I'm going to have to go through this one a couple times I think. Certainly haven't had any 'in-your-face' moments yet like could be had on Decoration Day or So. Rock Opera -- and, wow: there's some female lead vocals! Strikes me that this is going to be a very thought-out affair...nicely produced, great sound to it. More later, I'm sure.... ^ ^ couple that a co-worker gave me today ^ ^

Oh, nice. I'm gonna probably see Pinback in a couple weeks. Last weekend I went looking for a bunch of music but couldn't find ANY of it... fuck this city... But I did buy three things anyway. Believe it or not, I have never owned this album. This is embarrassing, because I am currently the biggest Radiohead fan I know. Also by far the biggest Beck fan I know. Just randomly.
