"There are too many health problems in these dogs purely because of sloppy breeding".
Exactly ... ! And the same can be said for most pure breeds ...

Chrisfan,
I thought about getting allergy shots, but I really can't afford that right now. I have health insurance, but it's a pain in the ass to pay my deductible when I get sick, so I don't think getting allergy shots is a viable option right now.
Ken,
Thanks... I just finished up my last class today, and yeah, I did do something special for myself... it's called beer, and I'm drinking it right now. haha.
Glad to hear you're a Great Dane enthusiast. A friend of mine at work used to breed them, and she loved the shit out of them. I think they're the most beautiful animal on the planet, and when I get enough land, I plan on having one.

Great Danes are beautiful dogs, so they're allowed to be dumb.
Dog allergies suck. I bet they were invented by cat lovers to try to force more people to own cats. We see through your plan, foolz.
Maybe a short-haired dog would be ok? Although I've heard that animal allergies aren't related to fur, but to the animal's saliva (which is usually all over its fur anyway)...

Poodles and other none-shedding dogs are often okay for people with allergies. I'm not sure about cats.

Cats are usually possessed by the devil, thats one thing I'm sure of. Even the nice ones. Possessed.

This seems to be the place you go to for discussing pets lately.. I havea question. Our two puppies are both brothers/the same age, but Frankie is a little more aggressive & quite a bit more dominant in his personality than Henry. He's a troublemaker. I know dogs will always follow the eldest/pack leader, but here Henry is following Frankie b/c he is the more aggressive dog. With our other dogs the pack leader is the very disciplined one, so the others follow suit. How can I get Henry from not following Frankie's every move? Do I have to just discipline Frankie more than Henry? Its driving me nuts. Henry is fairly quiet, but Frankie barks at everything, esp at the TV or when the phone rings. Then Henry chimes in & suddenly I'm being ambushed by two fat little bulldogs barking their asses off. When Henry is on his own, he doesn't do that. I hate to discipline puppies

I missed the gay Pride parade this weekend :\ But its cuz sisy & I went camping up Alpine Loop, at the foot of this gorgeous, upthrust snow-covered mountain, where we witnessed a pagan wedding ceremony between friends, and then had a marvelous cookout & campout, staying up way past the witching hour telling tales across the campfire. way good times.
How's it goin in yer neck o' the woods, pat -?

yeah. bummer about missing the pride parade. first time i've missed it in a while. but the camping was definitely great. we need to hike timp. it'll kick our butts.
great danes ARE beautiful dogs. but they need SPACE. in czech repbulic, people would keep these huge dogs in their tiny tiny 25th floor apartments. it was nuts.

Meh - gay pride parades bug me. Nothing like trying to prove to society that you are just like everyone else by dressing up in drag and baring your bod to the masses. How is that working out for them so far?
Layla - discipline sucks but is totally required. You are doing the dog a favor. And obviously I am not talking about physical discipline. When Frankie steps out of line, what are you doing? Are you being clear and loud in your commands? Are you in front of him, with him behind you? He needs to know who is boss. And yes, it does sound like Henry is just reacting to Frankie. Once Frankie stops I am sure Henry will. My sub dog Rufus never acts up until dom Fiona gets going. Don't forget dogs can sense if an owner is a pushover and that they actually love and crave you to tell them what to do. Good luck!!!

I think the gay pride parades are working out damned fine for them.
The bigger the parades get each year, the more obvious it will become to the "haters" that gays are here to stay. Hence the more obvious it becomes that they will have to "deal w/it".

Any particular reason that can't do that without acting like freaks?

Drag it up all you want - Go RuPaul - you betta work, etc.
But - the point is all you see at pride parades are queens, naked circuit boys, people dressed like idiots, etc. Why no normal people to represent gay people? When will they realize that they are doing themselves a disservice? If they would have a normal nice parade I bet they would change alot of peoples minds.
