One of my roomies is trying to domesticise herself & feverishly learning how to cook. I said she could practise on me, so I've been getting home from work to three-course meals every night, the table set & everything. I even ate her sweet n sour pork (usually I don't eat pork). She's going ok, but hasn't grasped the concept of matching the dessert to the main meal... (ie we got grilled chocolate sandwiches for dessert but the rest of the meal was Thai...)

My favorite wine way back when was a glass of zinfandel. My favorite of the reds... Out in Cali, went to this winery named Harvest Moon (went their b/c I liked the name); turns out they have great zins! One was from the 2003 stock and was like a 60/40 mix of zin and cab sav; it was delicious.

Whats a great fish other than tilapia or salmon? I'm getting bored of the above.

Went fishing a couple summers ago and caught some large bass. Another person cleaned them and we had some great bass deep fried with hush puppies and slaw. Minus the occassional bone the bass was fantastic. So fresh, so delicious.

Freshwater bass is indeed delicious. So is Bluegill, crappie and walleye. Especially walleye.

All the red snapper dishes I've tried have been delicious (I've got some great recipes but I can't cook seafood well myself. I make some mean Thai fish cakes tho) & you have to try barramundi at least once. Its best had BBQ'd but I had a steamed barra on holiday once - thinking about it makes me hungry.

Sliced summer sausage (burtons finest available at wally world) and sliced cheese (mild cheddar) are great appetizers with a ronrico (silver label) and diet...
