Or I could figure out how to tape, lol! Cannot get the hook up right for some reason with the DVD adapter.

Anybody watching this new show The Office, with Steve Correll and Fishboy from House of 1000 Corpses? I'd never seen it, but then I caught a marathon of reruns Sunday night on CNBC and it was just too funny to be true. New episode tonight, I'll prolly record it while I'm at work.

I watched the first episode, and I loved it. Steven Correll is one of those on my list who can do no wrong comedy-wise. But it's on opposite Amazing Race, and that is appointment viewing for me if there ever was, so I haven't seen much of it since then. I hope that it succeeds enough for NBC to keep it around and put it in a time slot that works better with my viewing habits.

Actually prefer the original UK Office. Thanks for that COPS nod amp I’d forgotten, shame on me. Taser episodes are the best!

The Shat-man is indeed my father...isn't he in some drama show now? What was the UK Office like? Not sure how it could be a whole lot funnier...I mean, Steve Correll and Fishboy, come on. Those guys are great. And I'm just excited to see a new non-reality, non-drama show on TV. I think Nick at Nite is really screwing up. Those idiots should still be giving us Mary Tyler Moore re-runs, but they're already cashing out the 90s. What the hell are they gonna do in ten, fifteen years? There are no sitcoms now to rerun, and reality shows don't work in reruns. Hopefully they won't just start showing a bunch of drama stuff. Me, I just miss Mr. Ed.

I doubt they'll turn to drama. Drama RARELY replays well. You can laugh at a good joke more than once, but once you know the plot twist of a drama, no one watches again. That's why syndicated shows like ER and The Practice run once a week on weekends typically, in time period where no one would watch regardless of what they showed.

They used to run some drama show, but I can't remember what it was...
Another thing that pisses me off about Nick at Nite is this "TV Land's Search for America's Funniest Mom" and all this other reality/wannabe Best Week Ever crap that they show. I grew up watching Nick at Nite. When I was five, six years old, I religiously tuned in to Donna Reed, My Three Sons, Mr. Ed, and all sorts of other black and white stuff. It really killed me when they sold out to the 80s revival, and now that they show so much Fresh Prince and Roseanne, it just hurts my soul. But REALITY shows? Gah, that's miserable. Showing new programming on Nick at Nite is like showing The Golden Girls on MTV. It just shouldn't ever be able to happen.
Chrisfan, on the topic of Steve Correll (or at least things related to Correll), I watched that Anchorman commentary a little while back after you said it was awesome. Anyway, I laughed my ass off, especially when Andy Richter was on there saying things like, "Hey, is that the chick from Married With Children?" And I still can't stop laughing about when that guy was insulting Andy's career and he replied, "Gee, I'd make fun of your career, but I'm not sitting at home in my underwear in front of IMDB.com right now." Classic stuff.
And, while I'm going off on this coffee-induced rambling, here's my current favorite television:
Best Week Ever WWE Smackdown (but not so much Raw these days) South Park Show Dog Moms and Dads The Office ...
Guess that's about it. But I watch lots of reruns of
The Simpsons King of the Hill COPS Iron Chef
Although. I must say. I absolutely despise Iron Chef America with every fiber of my being. I mean. I fucking HATE it. It's one of the many reasons that I'm not addicted to Food Network anymore. Pisses me off when I'm trying to catch Iron Chef at 10:00 and they sneak in an Iron Chef America. Not cool. I've been planning a huge rant on my web-site about how bad that show sucks, but I never get around to updating that thing anymore.

But Sandra Bernhard hosts Funniest Mom so that makes it worth it right there!

Since you brought up the Anchorman commentary that makes me laugh my ass off, have you watched the Old School commentary? I think it may be even funnier. They've got this obsession through the whole thing with Luke Wilson's eyes. But my favorite part of it is at one point when the director jokingly claims that Vince Vaughn painted a picture hanging on the wall in the background of once scene. They all play along with it, talking about how he walked into Vince's trailer one afternoon, saw that he was finishing up the painting and thought it was fantastic, so they used it on the set. Apparently, some people who watched it didn't get that it was a joke, and have posted as trivia about the movie on various websites that he actually did paint the picture. No doubt that will make it in as one of the inside jokes if Vince and Favreau ever make another movie.
Haven't watched the funniest mom show. But I totally agree with you on Best Week Ever ... although I think that The Soup edges that one out.

Haven't seen that Old School commentary, but I really want to now. It's one of the movies that I used to watch all the time since my girlfriend's old roommate owned it, but I guess I'll have to rent it to see it again.
Is The Soup any good? It looked to me like some gross, evil futuristic mutation of the once mighty Talk Soup? I'll have to give it a watch, I guess.

I mentioned this on the DVD board, but I suppose I'll say it here as well...
The Adventures of Pete and Pete is coming out on DVD! I can't wait. Last I saw of that show was on that Noggin channel on the satellite at my mom's, and I couldn't believe how well it had aged. One of the greatest television shows ever.
Salute Your Shorts is also being released, but I'm not sure how well that one will have aged with me. Bobby Budnick is still da man, though.

The movie wasn't 1/2 bad. Rosie portrays a moderately retarded woman pretty good. The bus driver was cute.
