One time I was with a buddy of mine in a music store jamming on guitars. We were the only ones in the store, and he was waiting around for a student he had a guitar lesson with. The student was an Asian American kid (I don't know what his heritage was, but he was as American as any of us). When the kid came through the door, my buddy started into that stock riff like they used to play on Bonanza and other TV shows of the time whenever an Asian character ("Hop Sing") appeared - you know; dee-dee-dee-dee-dee, dee, dee, dee, deeee... My buddy thought it was pretty funny. Of course, the kid wanted to see how to play the lick right away.

This one time in college I was walking to this party with some friends...we could hear someone singing and playing guitar. Couldn't tell where it was coming from, but it was horrible and hilarious, so we laughed. Then the music stopped, and we heard this guy yell "Sure, laugh at the Asian guy! Laugh at the Chink! Ching chong, ching chong!"
We had no idea the guy was Asian. Never saw him, so I'm still not that certain.

I love getting a phone call from a friend playing me guitar through the phone--"CHECK THIS SHIT! WRITE SOME LYRICS FOR THIS" and then plays for 2 minutes--drop dead awful beautiful stuff. Wish airfare was free.

yay. i love that i signed thorny and i up for winder farms delivery service. it's only 1.50$ per delivery, and we get a delivery once a week. they deliver local organic milk, butter, eggs, cheese, yogurt, produce, et cetera. no bovine growth hormones, and the milk jugs are reused. we just pick what we want as long as we have a minimum order of 5$ per week. tis swell.
