The Universe is in motion. It is alive. But is it moving laong blindly or does it have consciousness?

Okay fellas, let me rephrase the question I mean maybe we all have different understandings of what a conscious universe is. We all pretty much agree that we as human beings have consciousness, right? But what about that other part of us as human beings that is operating on unconscious level? Take breathing for instance, can you tell me, why are you breathing? Or Why is your heart pumping? Why is your immunce system fighting off bacteria? Are you consciously telling your body to do any of this? No, ofcourse not. There is a greater force that is regulating all of this stuff. It is a force that binds all men, women and living things. But not only is it a force that regulates all of mankind, it is also a force that is a part of each individual. And that force comes from what? It comes from the motion of the universe. The universe is in motion amigos--theres not denying that, and that suggest that it is alive. And if it is alive, then couldn't it be possible that it has consciousness? ...okay then..I'm gonna go trip on some mushrooms now...so see ya all on the darkside of the moon...

Some people would argue that your 'force' comes from God. I think there's no connecting force, just a billion year long evolution gone completely haywire on this insane planet.

Lucretius said that the motion of the universe is all there is.
Meta-physicists have suggested that our human consciousness is none other than the universe reflecting upon itself.

Some people would argue that your 'force' comes from God. I think there's no connecting force, just a billion year long evolution gone completely haywire on this insane planet. You could be right. The fact that we breath without consciously thinking about it could simply be a complicated set of neural synapses that has freakishly evolved over millions of years. Just like all of these other unconscious mechanism we have-- breathing, heart-beating, immune systems, etc--have evolved over time. But where did these complicated sets of neural synapses originate from? I think the answer is from some force of nature, some force of the universe. I dont think it is much different from how a flower will open its leaves to the sunlight, while closing it at night. Or how a sea will rise with the gravitational pull from the moon. All these things are happening because of millions of different little relationships in the time-space continum. Why? I don't know. But I do think there is evidence that a higher power than man exists, and that it may even have consciousness. The evidence that there is a higher power is evident everytime you take a breath, everytime your heart beats, everytime your immune system attacks an intruder. The evidence is everytime the earth revolves around the sun. The evidence is looking into the eyes of my 5 month old son and seeing a light...A force greater than man is responsible for all of this. I mean, afterall, man is not consciously daying to his lungs, "okay breath in, now breath out" or is he telling hsi heart "Okay beat heart, pump blood" or is he telling his immunce system "go attack those bacteria now". No all of these things are happening without man consciously willing them--they are happening due to a force greater than man. And my evidence that this force COULD have consciousness is that the universe (and its celestial bodies) is made up of basically the same particles, atoms, chemical compounds, etc as are found in human bodies. And these elements throughout the universe react (as far as we know) is some similar ways to the elements in our bodies. So, if the elements in our bodies are formed in such a way that gives us consciousness, then isn't it possible for the elements in the universe to be formed to do the same thing on a much grander scale? That is to say doesnt this suggest that the universe could have a consciousness, and therefore a purpose?

I've actually recently picked up the radio signals that are being sent from the universe to my inner-working cellular activity, telling it what to do, what to fight off etc. I can now say, without a shred of doubt, that I'm drunk. That is all.

Nice topic, wage. I think the entire universe is breathing. The so-called 'expansion' of the universe could, in fact, be naught but a million -epoch 'Intake' of breath; and in another millions of (our) years, the universe might begin its Exhalation.*
* Everything our science is based upon, may - there's no denying the possibility - in fact be based solely upon this temporary 'INhalation' of the Universe breathing. (thus causing our scientists to conclude it is "expanding"...)
If this were the case, of course, then the atmosphere that the Universe breathes would be tantamount to the "Other side" of reality, a portion of existence outside our own relativistic quantum realm. The green green fields of heaven, or whatnot.
