Yeah...I'm really not getting this Bloc Party/Pavement thing, as long as it makes sense to you though that's what matters.

Just speed up "Gold Soundz" and you've got Bloc Party to me. Also, shin, there was alot more to new wave than just Duran fucking Duran. I never made connection crap like that. Now if you want to list off The Stranglers, The Normal, Orange Juice, Josef K, or take any post punk band from Factory with some Pavement melodicism and you've got the most watered down crap I've heard in ages.

i mean, i can see the Gold Soundz comparison, but i also can see that with half of the other indie rock songs out there. pavement doesn't really own the lease on melodicism+jangly guitars y'know?
