There have been enough refrences to country music on various threads around here, that I decided we may need a country thread around here. If you're a fan of country - here's your place to determine whether or not Willie is really better than Waylon, and anything else you want to talk about!

Just picked up the book "Hardcore Troubadour: The Life and Near Death of Steve Earl" and it's excellent. Whatever happened to the country music rebels? I guess they must have went the same way of the rock n'roll rebel.

I've always considered Elvis the first pop star...Love the hell out of 'em though. Hank is ceratainly in the top three. I think Johnny got an edge on him though.
