That reminds me of the genius of Bill Hicks. It's time for my new fall TV show of "let's hunt and kill Billy Ray Cyrus and drag that humonculous mongloid by his rat-tail and beat him through the streets. Stay tuned for next season when we do it all again with "let's hunt and kill Michael Bolton".

Can I be honest? I trust you guys...I kinda like Tom Mcgraw. That Dancehall Doctors album is alright...he did still do Indian Outlaw, which is unforgivable though.

Try focusing your attention on only a few select trheads.

Is anyone here enough into country that they can recommend some good underground Texas outlaw type stuff? I'm a huge fan of older country, but it's so boring just keeping up with older music...
And mainstream country radio is the worst thing on the air. Even worse than the pop stations, the awful rap stations, or the butt rock stations.

It's not exactly texas outlaw but there's a band from NC called The Backsliders, you should check out Throwin' Rocks At The Moon. The Bastard Sons Of Johnny Cash are good if a little too polished. You can't go wrong with Dwight Yoakam. Probably what you want to do though is checkout some bands on Bloodshot Records. Old 97's and The Waco Brothers are a couple more off the top of me head.

Try focusing your attention on only a few select trheads. ROTFLMFAO! I thought that had been forgotten by now ... sorry DED, but that was just too funny. BTW, Lyle Lovett is easily my favorite country performer. Luke (why do I still want to type Ekul?) Other than recommending some old Waylon Jennings or Willie Nelson, I'm afraid I just don't know much of the Texas outlaw country ... though I did know a motorcycle gang (seriously!) who loved David Allan Coe, does that qualify?
