madmike--I like Del Amitri. "This Side of the Morning" is excellence--"Nothing Ever Happens" is sublime. I have not heard much else I am afraid--cept the album those songs were on...I was in England a few years ago--nothing warms and chills the soul at the same time as hearing some busker with an acoustic guitar with his case open play "Nothing Ever Happens" on a cold November night in York.

I really love that "Nothing Ever Happens" song... I haven't heard it nearly enough lately... I'd say it suits the cold, inner city climates of England perfectly. I always thought Del Amitri was a bit of an underrated little group, actually. Not too bad at all! :-)

Del Amitri have done some really wonderful stuff. I first got into Twisted......and then Change Everything.....then Some Other Suckers Parade. That Justin Currie is a fantastic songwriter (great singer too).

I have a lot of Del Amitri and like them a lot, but I am not familiar with those songs you guys mentioned. The cd you guys are referring to is Waking Hours. I have everything they have done AFTER that cd.
I should go back further and get that one, you guys should move forward and get one of the newer ones. I think Justin Currie is going to come out with a solo record next.
