Hold on to that Atlanta mix, patten. The first one is just going to be your all time favorite songs. But now you've got me curious about what you have in mind, as I really don't know much about Atlanta-based music other than Outkast, the Black Crowes, and, um...Tag Team? I don't know. Updated: Myself Phil Skvor Luke Scottsy Rileydog Mantis kmc Ayinger glen maarts samples Ken Holzman patten Mantis I agree with Luke that it's a lot more fun to get real mail, but I for one would be perfectly willing to receive it electronically if whoever I draw so chooses. I'm on the list twice does that mean I get twice the rock or I have to make twice the mixes?

Covers could be fun, at one point I could have made someone a CD with 12 covers of "Mrs Robinson". Boredom and Napster went together so well.

Mantis, you'll just have to rock twice as hard ... or twice as long, or somethin' ...

Also whoever I draw might get a covers CD just because that one is coming together pretty good... But what if we do a covers theme later on? I actually am a bit of a covers collector believe me I have plenty to go around. I'll make the first mix some of my favorite songs...it'll be alittle harder I guess because I don't really have many set in stone favorite songs. It's kind of a slide rule sort of thing...besides everyone knows Jesus Etc. and Thunderroad, I would see little point in putting them on a mix for any of you guys. I'm not complaining I really look forward to doing it...I actually tried to do it back on the RS boards and nobody would go for it, we ended up starting a group on Soulseek and it was really cool for a while. Anyway back to what I was saying, to whoever gets my mix: I probably put it on there because it fit on the mix not necessarily because it's one of my favorite all time songs.

I'm up for the whole favourite songs mix thing, an easy place to start... I did a little mix the other night of stuff I love but often don't think of... so it's brilliant stuff in my collection that still takes me by suprise sometimes... I'm not sure if that will be the disc I send, but I like how it turned out!

I'm probably going to make a mix of favorite songs, but songs that had an impact in some way/shape/form at some time of my life. I may end up on a timeline, with the CD exploring themes in my life as it moves along.
So yeah, it'll be a "favorite" mix, but that's certainly a way to tamper with it so that it may seem a bit more fun to mix up.

Riley, I think your getting the short(er) end of this stick. I remember a "dance remix" of wishing that dragged on for something like ten minutes ... and at least seven minutes of it was nothing but splash drum and that damn synth riff. ARGH! People would flee the dance floor when that thing came on. Though I wouldn't want to be in maarts' shoes if Riley has a similar mix of Go West or some such shite.
