I just remembered that Luke suggested that people don't know who they're sending it to before they make the mix. So, um...don't look at that list until after you make you don't want your audience to influence the content. And I assume you're all planning on posting track by track reviews once you receive your mixes.

Ha! Ha! Ha!
It's funny because I am in the process of making a tentative list of the tunes I want to send you ...
I'll probably PM the list to you just to make sure I'm not about to send you music you already have or really, really don't care for...
hey Phil: ship me a 3-course meal with that too okay?!?
Sorry ! No delivery available outside Québec... !!

Don't feel bad about sending him music he might already know.
If someone find some music they've never heard becuase of this, that's great. But the theme is, your favorite songs, and if you can make a great mix, that's more important than packing in 15 songs he's never heard.
Inevitably, there will be a few songs he hasn't heard anyway. But a great mix is a great mix regardless.
I have a 16 song mix that will fit onto one CD, so I'll probably just go ahead and send that and not bother cutting one more song off. Basically, I went through my whole collection and picked out everything that I thought might squeak into my top 15. I ended up with around 50 songs. I ranked them in order, and out of the top ones that would fit on a CD, I re-ordered them into a fluid mix. So my CD isn't necessarily in the order of how well I like them, but its my top 16 songs in the order of a fluid mix of songs. Didn't work out quite as well as I thought it might, but its a good mix of songs either way. Some songs were obvious (is anyone surprised that "Heroin" or "Misunderstood" are on my mix?), but there are a few that are by bands that I like very little else by, but still snuck into my favorite songs based on all sorts of reasons, several of them sentimental.
Sorry that I'm drunk. But the Lager House, in Corktown, Detroit, is amazing, and Lee Marvin Computer Arm is a great live band, so that's where I am right now.

Not to suggest that I'm at the Lager House right now. I'm not, I'm at home. But I'm drunk because I was at the Lager House before.

Just so I'm clear. We abandoned, at least this time around, the notion of a local flavour mix, and we're doing pure favorites?
I'll have some overlap here if that's the case, so it's all good, just want to make sure I'm following the rules.

Ack! I didn't read the rules completely or missed some post as to the "rules of engagement" here -- 15 favorites? Man, that's going to change e/o day for me! I'm going to have to see what comes up..... My other thing is that once I saw that I drew Maarts, I went ahead and plotted out a proggish thing that I'd hoped he'd enjoy....heh, he may have a Bonus disc enclosed in the end!
