C'mon luke. Not everyone can be Shirley Manson...not even her, lately...tho I had Bleed Like Me on for most of the morning here. Not bad really.

Shirl doesn't do much for me these days, alas...Garbage has taken nearly the same fall that Weezer has, IMO. Two of my favorite bands just flushed down the tubes.

Oooh, Rilo Kiley. I had that one for about a week and really liked it a lot...THERE's my assignment when I go to the library later this week.... And my new Acer notebook burns like a fiend! Happy Happy Joy Joy... My friends' band opened for Rilo Kiley in DC a few years back; I suppose I'm biased, but I liked my friends' band better. IMHO I think if the right set of ears heard them, they'd take off. Not to mainstream arena levels, but like being able to sell out a place like the 9:30 Club in DC which holds about 1,500 people. I'd be curious as to what some of you would think -- if you'd like I can burn a few copies of their latest CD and send it your way.... |
