Well, would you believe this! I just downloaded the paper, what do I read? Kiss gets short shriftKISS tribute band TinyKISS.Two rival dwarf Kiss tribute bands are feuding over who owns shrinkage rights to the glam rock superstars. US acts MiniKiss and Tiny Kiss both feature dwarves in face paint and fright wigs playing Kiss songs - although Tiny Kiss also boasts a 160-kilogram woman. The 1.3-metre MiniKiss frontman, Joey Fatale, tried to confront Tiny Kiss leader, 1.2-metre "Little" Tim Loomis for allegedly ripping off the little Kiss concept, US news reports said. However, Fatale has denied he tried to ambush his rival Kiss Army cadet, the LA Times reported. Loomis, a former drummer for MiniKiss, was performing with Tiny Kiss on St Patrick's Day at Beacher's Madhouse, a Las Vegas variety show, when the incident occurred, the report said. Show host Jeff Beacher told The Times that Fatale "tried to sneak in saying he was Tiny Kiss" and had to be escorted from the premises. The New York Post reported that, Fatale's lawyers sent a legal cease-and-desist letter to the show trying to shut down the act. Loomis told the Post: "[Fatale] came out here [to Las Vegas] and tried to cause trouble, so I had him 86'd [thrown out] from the Hard Rock. The impression I got was that he was looking for a fight. He'd been threatening me over the phone." But Fatale disputed the accusation, telling The Times: "This whole thing about me going to the Hard Rock with my gang - that didn't happen. What happened was, I went there because somebody told me [Tiny Kiss was] doing the show that night.... Nobody escorted me out of there. "I went there by myself to approach them as a gentleman." Fatale said he had "nothing to say" about Loomis, except, "He's a nice guy." And, he added, "This is all a big publicity act for the guy at Beacher's." What's that Clydesdale doing amidst those midgets?

A few years back a "KISS Tribute" band played at a club down the street from me and having never seen the real thing in person I just had to go. They had the spirit down and I was drinking cheap beer by the pitcher enjoying too the make-up & costumes, blood spitting, fire breathing, the whole ball of wax. Then came time for the rest of the band to leave the stage and let 'Peter Criss' to do his drum solo on his big ol' kit. He was just a'wailing away when...quite abruptly, he slipped off the back of his stool right amid all his pounding.
Dead silence.
And two feet encased in big shoes jutting straight up into the air was all you could see.
The drunk fuckin' crowd broke out into both laughter and cheers and Pete, still laying out on his back, threw both his sticks up and over the drumset and into the audience. The other 3 came out from stage left and tentatively walked over to look down at him and it was like they all just shook their heads at each other. I wish to hell I had it on film as it was just too fuckin' priceless!
After about a minute, 'Pete' finally got to his feet, re-straddled his toms and leapt back into things. I had felt that I had paid way too much to see that show but it was almost made worthwhile by that one moment!
