They're filming the Ian Curtis bio finally (and thank lordy its not starring Elijah Wood as rumoured, he's a freak) & theres the Hendrix movie allegedly starring Andre 3000 (don't know how true it is) & the 2 separate Janis Joplin films.
Theres muso flicks up the wazoo lately. But we love them because musos are so trashy.
So who's life should turned into a film next? And who should play them?

Actually, I think Elijah Wood was rumoured to be playing Iggy Pop? Thats even worse than him playing Ian Curtis. Elijah Wood is like 3 feet tall. Thats about the size of Iggy Pop's penis.

I'd like to see a Guns N Roses film. It could follow the history from Axl's arrival in LA/the 'La Guns' period through to the Spaghetti Incident? release. I'd like it to end on a high note though, and you could have a small note at the end of the movie about how the band disintegrated & Axl is now a mondo asshole.
I don't know who could play the band. I could play Duff & the skinny dude from the Strokes could be Izzy. Maybe Clive Owen could grow his hair out & be Slash.

If the hiphop-community can keep their eyes off the bling-bling and stop their heads being permanently stuck in their asses, they should come up with a pretty interesting biopic on Suge Knight- should be a modern version of the Godfather... Spike Lee of Spike Jonze to direct. No Chris Rock of Will Smith unless they play the part of corpse...
A Serge Gainsbourgh-bioppic would be killer too...

When they first started working on the Joy Division movie, Jude Law was the rumored actor to be playing Ian Curtis. I have no idea if anything came of that though.

Isn't there a movie about Jim Morrison in the works?
Seriosly though, I hope no more rock star movies come out; IMO they never do the artist justice, and end up being watered down, over hyped false realities of what their lives actually were.
On that note; Keith Moon, and Janis are both getting movies in the near future.

Val Kilmer was a way cooler (and hotter, er, from what I'm told) Jim Morrison than Jim Morrison.
GNR movie would be pretty nifty. In time. I'm dreading the inevitable Nirvana movie.
Is there a The Dirt movie in the works? That'd be awesome, as LONG as it doesn't end with some cheesy shit about how those deluded ass guys think their band was important or that any of them are still the least bit significant. That was the biggest drawback to The Dirt. After all those awesome stories, you wanted Vince and Tommy to just come out and say that "it was a fun ride, God bless the 80s", but instead, they try to convince you that they "never went away" and "weren't like those other 80s bands." Nigga please.

The movie that I would like to see made are some of the more avant garde composers like Harry Partch or John Cage. I think that those would be very weird and quirky. I would also like to see a movie made out of Eric Dolphy's life, Frank Zappa, Louis Armstrong, Jimmy Rodgers, Throbbing Gristle, and Martin Hannett.
I don't care about Joy Division on film. It will be just as atrocious as that revisionist nightmare that was "24 Hour Party People". It will suck no matter who is involved.
I hate Guns N Roses, so I'm not really interested in any more myth-making for the typical scummed out groupie drug addict that Hollywood seems to be addicted to, which goes for "The Dirt" as well. I just don't care about white kids and their drug problems. Not at all.
I also don't like movies about hippies so the Hendrix and Janis things don't really appeal to me either.

Well you know Iggy's only 5 foot 1, right? The clue is in one of his songs, here, I'll reprint some lyrics: " I'm only five foot one!" -- Iggy Pop And - -despite the obvious surface-reasons that Elijah Wood seems like the least likely actor to cast for this role -- I'm personally holding out the lil hobbit will surprise all of us. Especially Iggy.

Elijah Wood? That would be a great way to guarantee that I will not go see that movie.
