On these things I usually go overboard but I've tried to narrow the focus down to the scenes that feel really fucking painful to watch or have cleverness or have emotional pull to them. And less wire-fu, the better.

What about Bruce Lee vs. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar? Classic.

I considered that one but it always had a novelty feel to it (great fight aside) and Chuck, especially back then, would seem a more formidable opponent for Lee. Also, that the fight takes place in the Roman Coliseum and that Lee pays respect to Norris' corpse gives it the edge.

Theres nothing from Highlander in that poll. I'm appalled. Ahem. " I've tried to narrow the focus down to the scenes that feel really fucking painful to watch or have cleverness or have emotional pull to them." And like most polls I've made, I wanted to keep this list shorter. Oh, and its my fucking poll. ;D

Being maimed by a broadsword isn't painful to watch?

I found it no more painful that what happens to the Black Knight in Monty Python & The Holy Grail.

There's a lot of stuff I overlooked, I agree, but I didn't want to bombard everyone with choices.

It just seems wrong that Sylvester Stallone has the same number of nominations as Bruce Lee.

Yeah, but its one-sided and will probably result in a draw. Where's the fun in that?

Alright, enough of this. I've made my pick. The Dragon and Walker, Texas Ranger in Return of the Dragon. Well paced and choreographed. Notable for 4 things: Lee's crucial decision to improvise or be pummeled; the setting at the Roman Coliseum; Lee paying respect to Norris afterwards; and Norris' chest hair.
