It just seems wrong that Sylvester Stallone has the same number of nominations as Bruce Lee. And Mandy Fucking Patinkin.

Adam, I know it's your poll and you're sick of people criticizing, but you really did drop the ball here. Mainly because, well, there's no competition for the best fight scene. There is one answer, and one answer only. It comes from this little classic:

Best Fight scenes ... In my book, they are still the best !

Oh, fucking hell, this is pathetic. I've made unsuccessful polls or threads before, but this is terrible.
Strat, take this thread out back and execute it. Please

Oh come on. Voting threads are a bitch to get everything down. We'll just use this guy for discussion, instead.
Of those you put up there, I agree with Chuck/Bruce. Although it still has fuck all on the legendary They Live scene.

I'm fine with that. Just a little disappointed. Maybe I should've taken requests or something... I remember the They Live fight. Its been a while since I've seen it but I can recall how hilarious and long it was. This list, now that I think of it, more or less represents what I consider to be the best fights so that may be the problem. I love fights were the combatants are pushed to the point of exhaustion and fatigue. The fights in Four Musketeers and The Big Country are the best examples (of what's shown here, anyway ) of this.

The They Live fight was five minutes long. It was originally supposed to be only 30 seconds, but Piper and David wanted to choreograph an entire wrestling match. They did, and Carpenter loved it so much that he kept the whole thing on film. Just two guys duking it out, no martial arts or swords or slow motion tom foolery. A classic.
What did you have in mind with the Predator fight? The actual brawl at the end, with the "You're one ugly motherfucker" line? A great bit from one of my favorite movies, but it's more about booby traps adn weapons and such.
And that last bit in the Karate Kid...oh yeah. I'd like to make a list of my own and rank them here. It'll be difficult, though, as you've proven.
EDIT: Forgot to mention the South Park homage to the They Live fight, the legendary Timmy/Jimmy cripple fight in South Park. They mimic it just about move for move. The best animated fight scene, maybe?

Yes. But to my mind, its also about Arnold getting the bejeezus slapped out of him.

Ribbing Melon about his poll choices used to be one of my greatest pleasures. With him gone, Adam gets the brunt of what's left. Sorry dude.

I had to vote for the Princess Bride sword duel (though there are better ones out there). It's awfully good, it's really unexpected given who is involved, and the humour really takes it up a notch.
For myself, I'd take any of the following from the Star Wars films ... Luke v. Vader at the end of Jedi; Obi-Wan and Qui-Gong v. Darth Maul in TPM; Kenobi v. Vader in Sith. But I'm a huge Star Wars geek ...

See, this is what I'm talking about. I think I should redux this poll and put in more choices. Does anyone have problems with that?
