The upload went smoothly. The speed was about the same as YSI's too. I guess I got it on a bad day the last time I tried it. Let me know if any of you experience download problems... Placebo - Medswww.sendspace.com/file/acbn5y

Computer World was my only successful YSI upload today. Then it got stuck on the next one so I gave up. Anyway, as far as uploading goes sendspace works just fine. I have no idea how the downloads are though... Kraftwerk - Trans-Europe Expresswww.sendspace.com/file/r16yux

Kraftwerk - Autobahnwww.sendspace.com/file/73myyuThese 4 are the best things Kraftwerk ever did.. although I have to admit to having a soft spot for Computer World. Maybe it's because it's the only one I'm actually old enough to remember. My sister bought that on that vinyl, she must've been around 15-16 at the time. That was when her taste in music was actually pretty good. She probably forgot she even bought that record, which is why I have it these days.

that's true Kool...the go Betweens uploaded too quick and it never did..so I did it successfully a 2nd time...hope you all enjoy it I'm giving Placebo a shot now. Maybe YSI hates Kraftwerk? I have a feeling it'll get stuck again. It's uploading way too fast. Normally I'd be happy about that, but my YSI experience tells me that it's not really uploading and that it will get stuck again.

I've never had anything like that happen yet, bowiglou...
Anyhow, I've been downloading lots of stuff from folks via YSI. Thanks, you all are fantastic.
Grabbed the Drive-By Truckers earlier today (thanks ken & fuzz!), and gave it all one listen. But I don't yet have any opinion on DBT, because I've been captivated by the Throwing Muses album that Kool uploaded a few days ago - University. This band was always one of those bands that somehow completely passed me by - I was certainly vaguely aware of their existence and their connection to the whole 4AD scene, but somehow I never heard a note by them, at least not to my knowledge. (which is really doubly unacceptable since i'm from boston) Can anyone tell me more about their discography? i went over the amazon (for some reason allmusic.com frequently crashes my browser) and discovered they had a lengthy back catalog, and I couldn't really discern which albums were most pressing to acquire. If anyone could run through their best albums and the general arc of their career or anything like that, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Oddly, I didn't much care for the Kristin Hersh solo album that kool uploaded a week or so ago. Much much much prefer the Muses. Maybe I need to give that another chance now...
Cheers, M

does one have to sign up for sendspace as you do for YSI? No sign up required. I signed up just so I could keep track of my uploads.

Mary, I don't know much about Throwing Muses discography. I've only got University and The Real Ramona. Both are fantastic and considered their best albums. I'll upload that too.
