Since I'm feeling supremely lazy today, here's what I came up with for the "Album of the Century" board over on Influential Music this past Spring:
1. Ted Leo + Pharmacists - Hearts of Oak 2. Drive-By Truckers - Decoration Day 3. Stephen Malkmus - Stephen Malkmus 4. Neko Case- Blacklisted 5. Bob Dylan - Love & Theft 6. The Hold Steady - Almost Killed Me 7. Magnetic Fields - i 8. Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene 9. The Arcade Fire - Funeral 10. My Morning Jacket - Z 11. Wilco - Yankee Hotel Foxtrot 12. Ted Leo + Pharmacists - Shake the Sheets 13. Drive-By Truckers - Southern Rock Opera 14. Solomon Burke - Don't Give Up On Me 15. Sufjan Stevens - Illinois
I don't think anything I've bought since then could reshuffle tis list, except maybe The Obliterati moving into the 11-spot.

Oops. Thanks, Ryo. OK, four more entries from earlier this decade and a 2006 entry. Going with current favourites in these things is always a bit iffy but I'm pretty confident this one can only increase in estimation.
16. Godspeed You Black Emperor! – Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven 17. Bruce Cockburn – You’ve Never Seen Everything 18. The Decemberists – Picaresque 19. Muse – Absolution 20. Junior Boys – So This Is Goodbye

I have to admit that while they are not best of the 00s material, I really really like the new Killers record. I think they are quite fun and I hear the Flood/Mouldar production all over teh album which I think is cool. Gives me nostalgia for when both of those guys ruled the 90s with some stellar production.

This decade began in 2001, right? Not 2000? What makes this decade any different from the 20th century decades, Ryo? i.e, By your standard there . . . the 80s would not have begun in 1980, the 90s would not have begun in 1990, etc. Hence: You should not deprive yourself of the excellent albums that were released in 2000 (the start of the 00s).

I am definitely going to have to re-think mine (and fine tune it to perfection).
I'm not all that happy w/it as it stands, now

I think the BSS s/t is strong throughout. Even the slow numbers. I just don't think there's a weak track on the s/t.
