I've purposely left out both Live albums because they probably would've won this poll but that wouldn't be fair since it would be like a Greatest Hits album winning. Yes, they're both awesome, we all know that, but which studio album is the best?

Straight up, FEAR OF MUSIC is the best Talking Heads album period. Cos its crazy. "Mind" "Life During Wartime" --its sequenced perfectly. not a flaw on it.

That's exactly how I feel about More Songs..., which is why it got my vote. Fear Of Music is a very close second. Closely followed by 77. The first 4 were all brilliant.

I'm gonna have a hard time choosing between the first four albums...

Totally Fear Of Music. Read the piece on the ENO-board. From I Zimbra to Drugs one of the most astounding sounding albums.

Me too. Then Fear of Music. Then More Songs.
Those three are all free of flaw, but I just happen to like Remain in Light the best.
