OK, I'm putting together a list of albums I want for xmas/hanukah/kwanzaa/saturnalia/whatever-the-fuck-you-want-to-call-it. I'm going to send it to friends & family. And figured, why not make a thread out of this! What music-related items (albums, DVDs, concert tix, whatever?) are you going to ask for this holiday season? Will post my own list shortly... Cheers, M

I feel like I'm the only person on earth who has no interest whatsoever in that Beatles album. The Coltrane box set looks sweeeeeeet though!

I'm not very interested in the Beatles album either. And I actually have a recent renewed interest in the Beatles in general. But that album, not so much.

I'm not in the habit of giving or asking for Christmas gifts, but if I were, a Sunny Day Service reunion tour would probably top my music wish list. There's also some dead rock stars that I'd like to see resurrected.

I'm definitely gonna get myself an iPod very soon.
Musically I'd love to get the Talking Heads brick box set (all albums remastered on Dualdisc w/ videos on them).

There's some boxed sets I want, but my mom's already getting me some "big stuff" and no one else can afford them, so no go there.
As for albums, I buy stuff I really want as soon as I can get my hands on it.
So I don't really have any requests musically this year. Maybe a record player next year, though.

Get the first New York Noise, Mary, the second and the third haven't been quite as good as that one.
What do I want for Christmas?
Almost an entire store. The entire John Zorn collection. The new Prurient. The new Chavez reissue The Impulse Jazz label 4 CD box set.
Fuck it! I want the entire Waterloo Record Store inventory. Even the bad stuff. All of it.

All I care about in life is the 50 dollar, Limited Edition Deluxe Hardbound Orphans, by Tom Waits.
Word is out that it is already out of print, and the next edition will not contain the rare photographs & write-up in the current hardbound volume.
I was lucky to score one copy of Orphans, which I am leaving sealed & am presenting as a gift to my brother, Tim.
This Thursday/Payday, I'm headin out to hunt me down my own copy of Orphans. Wish me luck...

I may be vegan, but I am not above eating elves for the purposes of barter.

I'll eat an elf for the taste (not the calories).
