Does Ken visit this board? You have to get this set, Holzman. For it's $35 price this set instantly to me is one of the best bargains in the DVD world. The only film I had previously was His Girl Friday because had these out previously as part of their overpriced "Columbia Classics" series at $20+ a film, but this set, which Sony put out now that they have the rights to these films, has 5 films including the previously unavailable Holiday together at a great price. Looks like later this year Sony will bundle up a bunch of Capra films including It Happened One Night, Mr. Smith Goes to Washing, You Can't Take it With You amongst others into a similar box set. It shall be mine.

Very cool set, Weeping. Thanks for the heads-up on that one. I (naturally) already own His Girl Friday, but don't have any of the others. I'm pretty sure I've seen The Awful Truth, though. But you just can't hardly go wrong with Grant, esp. this vintage.
Too bad it doesn't include Bringing Up Baby as well ...

The above video is a lovely addition to my dvd collection, and appears just in time, too.
I disconnected my COMCAST a month ago - - so I no longer have Internet nor Cable access in my home.
Wanting to accentuate the sanctuary there.
This dvd is a perfect complimentary feature to my TV-less space.
I now may enjoy the beautiful, quiet video art of brian eno as opposed to the manic mass mind wash of commercial television, with its invading virus of dehumanizing frequencies.
14 Video Paintings is the perfect antidote to a world gone mad.
No car chases.

stimulus is good though. just like you need to excerise to build muscle, it's how your brain achieves a level of fitness and adapability.

"stimulus" -? "STIMULUS" - ? "STIMULUS"- ?(!) um, er... yes.
indeed
*koff*/ i'd prefer the stimulus of
~a sharp stick in the eye ~a raindrop fallen out of the sky ~a kiss on the cheek from a guy ~a slice of homemade apple pie
or maybe
~a short, sharp, shock ~to be hit on the head w/a rock ~to test-sniff a twice-used sock ~to have someone swallow my _____.
I can think of many things I'd rather have my mind be stimulated by, aside from the beast-of-a-million-eyes:
~to escape into a good paperback book ~to open the closet and take a good look ~or maybe to read a good poem or two ~in fact that's exactly what I think I will do
;D

Quite the bulk spender, eh, Weeping?
Great grabs, by the way. I want Jules & Jim.
