Well, I tried to post some real, exciting current events news about a new fucking planet discovered in our own solar system, yet no one except shin responded with any sense of interest at all, and then I posted a real, bonafide photograph of the frozen lake discovered on fucking Mars and all I get is dead silence from the fundys.

Not so surprising after all I guess. What is my point?

My point is that maybe Chrisfan should open up a new thread and call it

[shadow=red,left,300]AMERICAN POLITICS[/shadow]

or perhaps she should open up a

[shadow=red,left,300]CONSERVATIVE POV[/shadow] board.

Just a suggestion.

In the meantime, I will continue to post topics of interest that relate to [shadow=blue,left,300]CURRENT EVENTS[/shadow] that I find of interest.

[glow=red,2,300]POLITICS does not equal CURRENT EVENTS[/glow]


Of course I don't mind that anyone posts about POLITICS on the dread CE board; not at all. I concede that Politics do, indeed, fall under the umbrella of CURRENT EVENTS. And I concede that others may find POLITICS far more interesting of a current event than SPACE EXPLORATION.

All I am saying is that CONSERVATIVE POVs ON POLITICS are not the end-all, be-all of CURRENT EVENTS.

That is why I have taken the time and consideration to suggest that Chrisfan rename her board the AMERICAN POLITICS board.

I dug all that space exploration stuff, thorn. The thing is, I couldn't come up with anything beyond "Man, THAT'S SOME FUCkING COOL SHIT!"

Chrisfan, that's unfair. It wasn't all shits and giggles. There was genuine concern over the fate of our world once the World Eater comes.

I actually attempted to start a conversation about how we've never defined what a planet is. No one really really said much though...

I think it's safe to say that ALL of us have posted things on this and other boards to be converstation starters, and did not get a response. That's nothing personal. Just a reflection on all of our interests not being the same and/or the time we have for posting not being the same all the time.

Sure he puts up a big front on the boards but he's really a big softy that knows how to treat a lady.
