I can present a possible reasoning for why John Paul II could've been presenting this 'Social Doctrine' of attempting to control the overemphasis on wealth and personal possessions....consider the socialist/communist matrix which he spent years living under AND his knowledge that when it breaks down(with his incredibly ingenious and ballsy 'encouragement' with the construction of the 'Ark Church' and the encouragement of the Gdansk strikes)that vacuum will definitely be filled with something.

And one small taste, to someone who's been denied in most ways (unless they were party bosses or KGB), is not going to be enough.

I can easily postulate he was referring first of all to his very own country, NOT wanting see it implode with greed and corruption for which this renewed freedom would create extremely fertile ground...something for which all the Polish/ Russian party bosses/apparatchiks had already provided him a cautionary tale...

Listen, doc I've pretty civil about this, so howz about we try not to be too insulting? I posed a question, a simple question...and as I've said many times "I don't know" was a perfectly acceptable answer. No shame in not knowing. It was my mistake, appearently, to attempt to clearify what I was asking. Now I understand perfect well, fuck you very much, what chrisfan is saying and if my intentions were what she's assuming she'd be correct. If one is trying to compare charges made against Haliburton to the Oil For Scandel as a whole, it is indeed a false premise. I wasn't doing that though, I was simply asking someone to explain the difference in whatever the fuck is happening with Kojo and that of the charges against Haliburton. Since no one here can do that, the next best thing is to try and make me look stupid, right? Chrisfan couldn't get the discussion on a field in which she was comfortable discussing it, no harm no foul. Let's just let it go now.

Someone, your point is completely lost on the fact that it takes two people to to have an argument, disucssion, or debate. So, if I was wrong in the disucssion, then so was DED. The fact that you took me to task but not DED shows that your issue is my exsistence, and not anything that I said ... which makes it quite boring, and a good reason to ignore it from here on out.

This got out of hand pretty fast and seeing as I tried to stop dicussing after two posts it's gotten pretty old pretty fast. I have tried to be civil, I have tried to walk away from it, but fuck you and doc. I haven't tried controlling anything. I asked a question no one could answer. Fine. Fantastic. You couldn't leave it at that though could you? You had to pick at it. I wasn't pushing the issue, you were. Seriously you can keep your fucking lessons. I sure as shit don't need you to teach me anything...the fucking nerve on you. I can't even believe you two condesending fucks are making me out to the bad guy. I asked a simple question you didn't know how to answer...you just couldn't stand not being the authority on something though could you? You have to answer every post on this board but you didn't have an answer for me...so that must be my fault, right? This wasn't even a question of wrong or right...no need to villianise anybody, at least I didn't think so. I'll try to keep my obviously deminished mental capacity in check and try not to forget that Chrisfan and doc are clearly the superiors on this board.
